Where, THE HELL, is Daisy?!!

I mean, okay, I will grant you that we're not seeing a level of aesthetic creativity and ambition that you get out of some of the crazier indies on the scene today, but the Mushroom Kingdom has an aethetic, and it seems to me like they are doing very well in building that out in to the most fantastical, vibrant and whimsical extreme possible. It's not complete abstraction on a level you might find in the Experimental Game pack 01, but it's walking that line between known commodity and bizarre make-believe random land incredibly well

This game didn't interest me at all befre this trailer. Now I'm actually thinking of ways to justify buying a Wii U. Well played, Nintendo. This looks fantastic.

That looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait to play it in 5 years time when Wii U is even cheaper and has a ton of fantastic games like this, instead of just a few.

I'm tired of Mario, the character, not the world he inhabits. Ive played Mario for 20+ years now, and he still feels like an empty vessel with no personality other than some vaguely italien noises now and then.

This game looks great though, and I'll buy it and enjoy it most likely, but I am getting a severe Mario fatigue. Can't help it, and I mean no disrespect by it, it is what it is.

This is the third time I've watched this trailer today and it still has me smiling from ear to ear. I still don't like the angled, fixed camera. But this game looks so adorably awesome I'll be playing it day one.

Morningstar, he's a catch-all, meant to be a largely blank slate in which anyone can fairly easily place themselves. A chameleon. They continually give him some new powers/suits/acrobatics moves and ask him to get from A to B, or to play a sport. I kinda see what you mean but does he really need some sort of deep and interesting batch of distinctive character traits? I think that would suck. That's for other game types

Well that was delightful. I'll definitely be picking it up launch day to play while I wait for my Xbox One to arrive from Amazon.

I will be extremely disappointed if they don't keep this rocking jam for the main game. I feel mario musiced out and something new feeling like this really goes a long way towards making this game feel like a step forward for Mario.

Looks good, but not as good as Galaxy.

The gravity in Galaxy was a good compromise for the awkwardness of platformers in 3D. This game looks awkward to control. Then again I wasn't the hugest fan of 3D Land.

By the end of the year, I'll have about five Wii U games I want. May finally pick one up next year.

They are finally blending in a bunch of new elements. Great!

Finally, 12 months after buying my Wi U, there will be a game worth buying for it.

Having my Wii U is finally paying off. This looks great. Good thing I have Wonderful 101 and Wind Waker (soon), to help me make it through the wait :)

I hope Wario and Waluigi show up as Pimp My Ride-like personalities.

That does look really fun, but I still need more before I buy a Wii U. This and Wind Waker simply isn't enough. If they keep producing stuff like this then I might pick one up once a new Metroid hits.

Yeah this hard jazz makes for a fantastic contrast with the typical cheery 1-1 world theme. I suspect that this jam will make its in-game debut as a boss fight theme.
