Though I did hate Debra at the end of Dexter, I would still find that funny.

If Jennifer Carpenter doesn't say fuck the game will be a complete failure.

I really like Anson Mount, but that sounded like some really forced acting. Hopefully that's not a final take.

I've never thought that voice acting in video games was entirely essential, but if you're going to go for it, these are some solid choices.

Jackie Earle Haley is pretty awesome. I want this game to be good so horror/survival horror games can start coming back to consoles again the way they used to.

I wish video games would stick with professional voice actors. Voice acting isn't screen acting, and casting Hollywood talent is almost always just a marketing gimmick, trading a better performance for recognizability.

maybe its just me but I thought Jennifer's acting got way better as Dexter went on.

Jennifer Carpenter was the best thing about Dexter towards the end. From the start of Season 7, she absolutely killed it. Seeing she's a part of this makes me immensely more interested in the game. <3

Hell on Wheels is a extremely underrated tv-show. The first two seasons are pretty good, I definitely enjoyed them but they also had a few issues, but season 3 was nothing less of amazing. I have never seen a show grow so much in quality from one season to the next. Hell on Wheels has quickly gone from a show I really enjoyed to watch, with a few missteps, to one of my absolute favorite shows on tv right now. And it's definitely the best thing on AMC right now.

So glad to see Anson Mount getting more work.

Second and third seasons were kind of all over the place, but I blame that on the showrunners/creators who essentially burned down the house before leaving each season... but this current season has me hooked--might be the best one yet, at least so far. My fav AMC show is still Mad Men, though!

And I'll show some Jackie Earle Haley love as well. Hell with Watchmen, he was fantastic on Human Target.

Great, because we all love it when celebrities do random Japanese games localized for American audiences.

Jackie is definitely a get and he sounds great, but the other two sound flat as pancakes.

I prefer real voice actors.

Can someone timestamp when the celebrities talk about how they were a gamer because they loved "X Game?" That stuff is cringe-y.

A trailer featuring actors talking about video games never ceases to hype me up. The second I saw a hot dude looking at his hand and mumbling about playing video games when he was a kid... that's how I knew this game is going to be amazing.

These type of celebrity voice-talent interviews always seem really forced and awkward. It's obvious most don't care about games yet they pull out the one or two they've ever played like it's a fun hobby they never let go of. It's cool if you don't give a shit, just don't try to pander to me.

Jackie Earle Haley seems great; I think he has the potential to be a really great voice actor in the future.

Yeah, it sucks that they have to stick to a script and pander to people with the whole ''I'm a gamer too, ya'll!!'' when it just comes across as so fake. One of the ''best'' example of this was Powers Boothe and his love of the Donkey Kong during Hitman Absolution's own celebrity cast trailer. In reality Donkey Kong was probably the only video game he could even name off the top of his head.

Some cool names looking to star in this all the same. Shame about Jon Curry, though, as it appears he was the placeholder for Sebastian Castellanos. Also worth noting that the game is looking much better in recent showings, too. Julie Kidman's face is a particular improvement.

And that still does nothing to change that it plays like shit.

He plays the main protagonist in Hell on Wheels, Cullen Bohannon. His acting on that show is actually pretty badass, it's like he's been born to play that role. Guess good acting skills don't simply translate into good voice acting skills?
