The Illuminati Reveal Themselves in The Secret World

This looks like a Saints Row: the Third MMO. Kind of off brand sci-fi with ludicrous things happening in the world. Was that a lightning golem I saw? When the dude says that they "party hard" it sounds like they should do game breaking social events like the end of Star Wars Galaxies. Please try to quick look this!

I was interested in this game...until I found out it is an MMO.

Ya, the Illuminati were definitely the right choice for me. Hands down.

This game could have been good. But then again, Funcom makes it. They should stick to non MMORPG's.

What interests me most about TSW is the alternative skill levelling system. Someone mentioned Ultima Online and I immediately had a bout of nostalgia.

I always imagined that if the Illuminati wore uniforms they'd wear black blazers or white cardigan sweaters or something. Not long blue chef tunics.

Whatever, this game looks unimaginative or pretentious stemming from someone with poor imagination. Good concept but lackluster execution. It looks bad. Maybe jumping the gun with that conclusion but I've been fooled once, many, many times.

At the start of this trailer I was on board

then I saw gameplay...

then they randomly decided to give the viewer a drink recipe for no fucking reason and now I'm back on board...

Is this an Mmo?

This needs to happen. I want another epic journey, a long journey... some might say the longest journey.

This looks neat and all, but it will have to do something really different gameplay-wise to make me want to play an MMO again.

Nice to see there are MMOs moving away from the fantasy setting.

I want to check this out purely on the fact that it's not yet another high fantasy MMO.

Yeah I initially thought it was sean bean as well due to the Yorkshire accent as well. Maybe Yorkshire is the HQ of the Illuminati or something.

The Faction quiz they had a while ago placed me into the Templars, but I really want to be Illuminati.

I'm kinda feeling APB vibes from this. The hype seems similar, the concept is JUST NOVEL ENOUGH, etc. I guess we shall see.

I reeeeeeeally want Funcom to succeed, but I fear the worst for this game :<

Funcom's about the only mmo designer left who knows how to properly add atmosphere to their games so they look and feel like living breathing worlds. That said, if it plays like a typical mmo, then no thanks.

If this is something like Planetary I can find interest in it's universe.

More interested in that scotch than the actual game.

Until they showed that big rock thing I thought it was another Deus Ex game. I am now disappointed.

Looks interesting. Funcom kind of tries too hard in these trailers it seems, always wanting to show everything in the game making it a bit messy to follow.
