Are you all sure those are zombies? Looked like some scavenger humans (in the hoody) and then an alien to me. Maybe a head crab style alien on a human. 
Maybe there isn't much of a difference....

Ok so is the phrase "captured directly from a playstation 3 system" intentionally ambiguous? I mean, if this was in-engine footage, they would have just said that right? Cause this looks pre-rendered to me, and it seems like they're trying to make us think it's not. Either way looks pretty cool.

Offcourse! I still have a nice collection of the entire Crash Bandicoot series on my shelf.

What I meant was, this generation of hardware has been 100% focused on Uncharted. And while those are incredible games, I want them to branch out into other genres and themes.

Well at least this is something interesting, not just another post apocalyptic zombie game.

One thing I can give credit to ND for. They really do bring some personality into characters. Small things like twitches in the face and body when they talk. They do make these characters believable.

Hope this game turns out to be good.

It's probably too much to ask for from a video game, but I'm kind of hoping this ends up being closer to The Road (except with a daughter and fungal zombies or whatever the eff those things are supposed to be).

The trailer was so much Dead Island that I immediately switched off mentally.

I'd bet Nathan Drake found some ancient artifact that doomed the world, now he and his daughter have to find a way to fix it. Nice going dad. He shoulda' quit while he was ahead.

I really like "The Last of Us" as a title. It sounds like the title of an actual big-boy piece of fiction, and not a calculated branding decision run through a thousand research firms. It's the kind of title that, in the event of a sequel, you couldn't easily slap a "2" at the end. Strange thing to praise, I know, but sometimes I feel like all game titles come out of the same bland marketing apparatus...

Is that Troy Baker I hear again? If so, Nolan North better watch out or we might have a new king of Video Game VO on our hands.

I'm pretty tired of video game trailers that look more like movies than video games.

If they can sustain this atmosphere throughout a majority of the game I might pick it up. I hope any forthcoming info doesn't ruin what I think the game could be.. I also appreciated the Blur reference. Ta.

That looks to be what the original Dead Island trailer promised. For some odd reason I have more faith in Naughty Dog.

Whatever similarities to Dead Island you think are here...aren't. They're just scenarios that have been around for a while.

The PS3 sure is hard to program and get any good results out of, eh, other developers?

It's funny because in UC3 in the first pub mission, if you walk up to the bar there's a newspaper. The headline of that newspaper is "Scientists struggle to understand deadly fungus" Probably just an easter egg, but if old man Drake made a cameo, I would very much enjoy that.

Oh and some guy from ND tweeted that this game has been in development for over 2 years now

Unoriginal?? Execution and presentation are just as important or more so than concept.

It's funny, the first thing I thought when I saw that guy in the trailer was "Oh, they put Nathan Drake in this game too? That's a neat idea".

why does everyone keep saying another zombie game? Did I see the same trailer as everyone else? I did not see one zombie in that trailer...

I surprised people haven't learned this fact with the Uncharted series. I remember when people were just passing it off as Dude Raider and look at it now. I'm looking forward to what they bring to the post apocalyptic/zombie genre.

I'm at the point where I'll play anything Naughty Dog works on.

I love that people already are ripping on the gameplay of a game that we literally knew nothing about three days ago and only have a single two minute video to base on.

I like the angle they went for with the young female character. I was a little reserved at first but the fact she straight up stabbed the zombie thing won me over.

@Pat: They certainly captured her incredible blandness.

I really want this to be an open world survival horror game of sorts. I doubt it since that isn't what Naughty Dog do, and I'm sure that what t5hey do will be pretty cool anyway.

But it would be awesome

Kind of funny with this game, I was interested by the teaser stuff, but reserved. Then the trailer started with the Naughty Dog logo and well... sold.

"WAHHH! No more Zombies! WAHHH!" NaughtyDog + Zombies is a sell for me.
