Why is everyone so up in arms about this? How is it any different than MGS4's BB Corps?

I feel like people who think this sort of shit is new to Hitman haven't played a Hitman game for a long time, or any Hitman.

Why are people suddenly saying it's too much, it's always been an embarrassing part of the franchise, I'm happy people are starting to call them out for it but why didn't anyone get annoyed about the Heaven and Hell women or the busty Santa ladies or the meat party etc etc… is it a case of the specific past audience of players getting older or bandwagon ignorance of previous games?

It says they were KIA in the video, so what happened in the last video, and only one is alive. So the game will only have the one fetish nun voiced by Vivica A. Fox.

It shows that they were all KIA, and at the end they show one of them is still alive. More likely than not they will have that one "Nun" going after Agent 47 at some point in the game....I doubt it will be a bunch of Nuns.

Talk about a drawn out jumble of uninteresting comic panes. This looks like a storyboard, not targeted at all. Just show him snapping some nun necks.

Since when has Hitman been a serious game. It has always been a goofy plot, with goofy targets, and goofy situations.

My guess is that most people getting angry have never actually played through a Hitman game, and are simply jumping on the bandwagon.

Yea. He killed them all in that cinematic. Although in this video you can see the leader survived. I assume she's going to come back as a boss fight later? Still I'm not liking this new direction. I blame how things have been going recently with gaming.

This again? first the oversexualization of agent 47 in the first trailer (bathroom scene), now, humiliating him with pre order costumes, why. Also, why there are only woman in this trailer?, men can be badasses too, come on! I don't feel represented in this video...

At least the assassin had a good excuse to dress up that time! She was blending in at a weird corporate sex party! Yeah, it's an immature excuse, I'm not entirely convinced I'd rather just have them play dress up as nuns for no reason, though. Just not a fan of the whole Tarantino/Rodriguez direction it looks like they're going in.

Have you people even played Hitman?Does anybody remember Eve?The "angel assassin" from Dance with the devil?She wore nothing but a one peice cloth around her whole body and angel wings.She would do crazy back flips and jump all around until she got close enough to stab you with a stilleto.

Yeah this isn't really much of a far cry from that. In fact they wore less clothes in Blood Money. I don't get what you guys "think" is Hitman. Maybe you just have assumptions from what people told you or what you've seen in trailers.

It was revealed during E3 that the trailer was based on a mission from the game. I don't feel this is too out-of-character for the series but I expected marketing to change their tactics and focus on something else after the blowback they received from the trailer, guess the marketing ship doesn't turn it just goes deeper.

Those girls you mentioned in the previous games were whores. They were ladies of the night, strippers, women paid to dress skimpy to get off rich businessmen. That fits with the context of those levels and to the point of gratuity the creators were lambasting.

In this game, these "nuns" are an elite group of sexy assassins, fully capable with all manner of firearm, who also happen to wear a bunch of leather-tight fetish gear for absolutely no reason as underlined in this trailer (quite fucking literally). It's the precise opposite of what appeared in previous games.

There is no character to this, even though the creators are doing their damnedest to wash us in "character" with this trailer as a response to the general backlash. It feels like some cheap, pathetic, gamer version of a bad Charlie's Angels rip-off.

HOWEVER

With all that said, it looks like they killed them all off (which is unsurprising as that one nun was pointing a Goddamn RPG point-blank at a car), and are leaving just one, which will probably be plenty from a story stand-point. With Ms. Fox doing the character as well, perhaps there will be some credence. I suppose we will see.

Also, @Alex, I love you, but try using shorter titles and subtitles. Funny is not always verbose. Sometimes you can be funny with just one word, or even none at all!

Comments of this Hitman game in the last couple of months have shown that people dont know what Hitman is or played a few missions from Blood Money and think this approach is weird and out of place

They dont know in the first Hitman game you are murdering inferior clones and in Contracts you begin the mission in a Asylum with most of those clones murdered about

Exactly, I'm not sure you know what lambasting means, there's no tonal difference between the titilation they included in previous games and this. To say the 'whores' and whoever fit with the levels or tone of the game doesn't defend the way they modelled and portrayed them before, they still chose to put the levels in those locations which is exactly the same tonally as what they are currently doing, its the same.
