OK, guys, I'm American but let's get one thing straight, Americans didn't "start" or "invent" guerrilla warfare. 'Guerrilla' if you can't tell is a SPANISH word. It was invented in Spain, over 2000 years ago, when the indigenous Spanish populations fought desperate and effective wars against Roman occupiers. There's a reason why the word is written in Spanish not just in English but in EVERY language.

What the fuck. They say you can now mow through enemies like butter. Wow, as if you couldn't before. They don't get it, do they? We don't want easy-as-shit fighting system, goddammit. At least if we could have a way to crank up the difficulty.

I really love everything about AC3, but deep down I wished the combat had a snipet of challenge.

Looks like a competent enough game. The animations look robotic though, or the transitions specifically.

I have a hard time believing that Ubi is "pandering" to the same crowd that plays CoD. I understand there's that "dude-bro" mentality with the CoD community and that can occasionally crossover to something like AC, but the American Revolution, as interesting as it is, just doesn't evoke that same "AMERICA FUCK YEAH" vibe as much as say an EMP ripping apart a space satellite. I'm sure Ubisoft is hoping to appeal to the American gamer with their coverage of this, but did they "pander" to Italians or Turks while the other AC games were being marketed?

Regardless, I'm a big fan of the series and I'm pretty stoked about this one. I'd like to see more stealth gameplay, though.

I hope there is some more challenge in the combat this time.

What's wrong with murdering British characters now? Quite a lot of them die in other games. Somehow right now we are able to perceive a character's race and nationality while elsewhere it had been superfluous? And why only this game? Because the victims die in such brutal fashion, or the Revolutionary War setting struck a nerve?

I'm actually looking forward to this from a historical point of view. Though I have some reservations, much like the people who Americans ousted to occupy this country. As a British gamer, people need to get over the 'its a British murder simulator' thing, it's getting old. Yes Ubisoft are bigging up the American pride thing because you know what, that will help sales and that's the whole point. Ubisoft have said Connor will be fighting Templars on both sides anyway.

Now if they go and paint the British as an all evil nation and the Americans as the perfect in every which way then I might have an issue, but it's a video game and getting upset about it is pointless. I don't like the way they've been advertising the game but it still looks great. So getting over it.

Wait a second. If the Americans were using guerrilla-style tactics against the British, isn't it the same as what the taliban/Iraq troops were doing to the American forces there?

Ass Creed combat becoming more like Batman? - Fucking finally!

It's still funny thinking about Conor slaughtering hordes of soldiers with frigin guns, a single stray bullet and it's GG, lucky for conor he is in the matrix.

It looks like they are really doing what they can to make some significant changes to the AC formula. Lets hope they smooth out the animation and keep the campaign fresh.

You know, I've noticed this as well. I wonder if it's something that when you're playing it you don't notice it or what. I think the maneuvering looks pretty smooth, but the combat looks pretty jank sometimes. Oh well, I'm still looking forward to playing it.

templars are anti freedom. Something that was in the first game that I VERY much miss is that both the assassins and templarswant peace. But the templars want to achieve human peace through control, assassins believe humanity needs to achieve peace on its own.

They said a few months ago that they don't want to spoil anything about Desmond's stuff, but it'll be wild and you'll play as him more than you ever have before. I totally missed that article that until a couple nights ago. I was worried because the Desmond stuff has always been hit-or-miss and they hadn't talked about it at all here, but now I'm pretty excited. Sounds like they are too.
