@ganthet2814: Agree on that point. Would have been a great way to keep playing. I got all the Trophies in the game and still wanted more, but I am glad we got it in March rather than have to wait longer for just this. I think it's perfectly suited for DLC, just not what people wanted.

@numbthumb: That definitely sweetens the deal. I'm probably gonna end up waiting till the first of the story stuff drops, to get some reactions before making the final call on this pass.

I remember thinking "I should just get this season pass, I mean it's not like they're gonna do arena combat or something". Glad I waited. Burial at Sea looks baller as hell, but this I have no interest in.

That was my first though (having bought the season pass) - but then I looked at the presser; DLC 1 & 2 of Burial at Sea will both be $14.99, Clash is $4.99...So it's a good deal regardless, you save $10 bucks on the stuff you want and get an extra tossed in. Assuming the 2 story DLC's are well done, which, given Irrational's history, they should be - this is a great deal.

Moreover, after spending time with Clash -- I really like it. They dole out money/gear/infusions in a really intelligent way and keep things interesting with the Blue Ribbon Challenges that make you play the game in different ways. That said, I enjoyed the flexibility of Infinite's combat, some don't.

Either way, I think this is a great deal for people.

Haters are gonna hate. I play Bioshock for the story just like most of you, but sometimes I just want to have some mindless fun. This is an experience that can be enjoyed separately from the excellent story.

Sometimes I play Geometry Wars or whatever just for the pure gameplay, and now I can get something similar in Bioshock.

I actually wanted exactly this and was happy to discover today that it has happened.

Also, I am looking forward to the upcoming story DLC's.

Ken Levine?

It would quite possibly be the best thing ever if Ken Levine typed like that.

I think t here are plenty of developers who would secretly love to just let go on some of the bitchy ass entitled children who play their games. Sometimes there are legitimate gripes but its seems like more often than not its just the internet running their mouth off over a luxury entertainment item that nobody forced them to buy

I think people complaining about the season pass is valid. More so as an idea than any specific instance. I mean, they're pretty straightforward with what it entails. Either you're okay with that or not. If you bought one, it's kind of on you if you're disappointed by it. That's not to say that the season pass model is necessarily a good one. It's been kind of fumbled enough times now that I'm pretty sure that I'm going to avoid them from now on.

I'll admit, I do regret buying the season pass for this game. Mostly because I ended up not loving the game quite as much as others. But I certainly don't feel had. I mean, if I were smart I would have played the damn game before investing in content that I had no information on. Oh well. The bit with Rapture looks neat enough. And I already paid for this stuff, so I might as well play it.

Really? Handymen were the funnest enemy to fight in the whole game.

They were certainly the most challenging, but (and maybe I was missing something) the challenge primarily came from them being bullet sponges. Their weak point was almost never exposed, and they closed distance too quickly to get many shots off. They spiced things up, but mostly ended up dragging out fights and making things frustrating. If they'd had the same disruptive abilities but about half as much health, they'd have been my favorite enemy too.

This mirrors most of my thoughts. I thought they should've either been easier to take down or a lot slower when moving.

I dunno when i played they were immune to electricity (which i used the most) so it forced me to use other powers and fighting them using the skylines was amazing. They were challenging and fun to fight, not like the patriots which were bullet spunges with machine guns that sat in one spot basically. Patriots fucking suckkkkked

I like the combat in Infinite more then most people but I've never been one for singleplayer combat arenas. They always bore me regardless of the game they are in.

This seems like a quick answer to people bitching about it taking forever to get the DLC, when they actually did what we gamers all say we want, which is make it after the game's done and out the door. So not interested, the combat is the most uninteresting thing in Bioshock Inifinite. This seriously seems like, "well, people keep yelling at us to release dlc, so here, dlc!" where as burial at sea seems like what they were actually working on.

Was to be expected that part of the DLC/Season Pass was going to be dedicated to a horde/combat arena mode. Burial at Sea looks awesome though. Hope we get a level/section akin to Battleship Bay.

I knew I shouldn't have bought the season pass. I got it in an unexpected rush of loving the game right off the bat, but this is not what I was looking for - and as someone who is still too claustrophobic to play original Bioshock, the next one doesn't seem geared for me either. I bought the pass to immerse myself more in the atmosphere of Columbia, not this.

*Sigh*

One day I'll learn.

That is disappointing. The first highly anticipated, part of the season pass, single player DLC is... a single player arena mode.

OH NO YOU DIDNT!

They didn't start working on the DLC until after the game shipped, so unless you wanted to wait another 4 months...

Also this is the worst, I don't think anyone wanted this kind of DLC for Infinite. I would have personally preferred to wait a few more months instead. But it most certainly is there just to tick the box of 3 DLC things.

DLC like Clash In The Clouds is why I'm always skeptical of season passes. Thankfully I didn't pay full price for my season pass, so I don't feel cheated. I can see being annoyed at getting a combat arena for a story driven game that isn't really known for being a top notch shooter (combat is fine, not great). The pass is just $20, so maybe the episodic stuff will feel like it is worth it in spite of the arena DLC. Either way, this was close enough of a call to keep me firmly in the wait-and-see demographic in terms of season passes.

The Burial At Sea DLC does sound really interesting. Irrational are going more BioShock than BioShock Infinite with the combat system for the new stuff, so that sounds promising.
