This is so funny, but so sad. The death of Ryan was what brought my attention to Giant Bomb. I love it ever since but it's such a pity. The only thing i ever saw before was Ryan and Vinny playing that Hunting game and it was fantastic.

I literally grew up with you, you were one the the first "internet celebrities" I regularly followed. But you weren't just a guy on the internet, you were all of our friends. Truly, you let us into your world.

Miss you everyday, Ryan.

I was just about to start listening to the Giant Bombcast and joining the forums because of all the great things I've heard about the site when I hear news about this Mr. Ryan Davis passing. Sad that I only began knowing him when he had already left this mortal coil.

It was kind of surreal listening to him from all the way back in 08 when it was just the four of the original duders, and learning how smart and hilarious and lovable of a guy he really was. By the time I had gotten to the memorial episode of the Bombcast, I had to choke back tears at the very end. It was also a very surreal feeling to listen to the Bombcast without his signature intro from then on, because I was hearing his voice almost every single day when I was just catching up.

What's weirder is that I actually have one moment of interacting with the guy frozen in time, and that was when before I really knew who he was. I had registered to the site earlier in 2013, but I never got around to actually visiting much and posting then, so I forgot my password to that account. Tried resetting it, but that didn't happen. Emailed support, and the person who took care of the issue was none other than Ryan Davis himself.

I guess I'm kind of fortunate to still be learning things about the man himself, as I'm still discovering old videos on the site that I've never seen, and this particular video was brilliant. Loved the Grand Slam Tennis diarrhea talk.

Loving it... that guy... was awesome. :)
