We Opened a 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4

I might buy it if it didn't make that irritating beep when turned on.

The Playstation Experience thing seems like it's really open. I'm in a student-run game development club at my university, and the president of our club received free tickets (didn't include plane ticket and hotel rooms) from Sony for whoever wanted to go from our club. It's not like we're a Big Deal, either - the club is only like 30 people or so.

Well, as of this comment the cheapest one on the US Ebay site is $910 so...Fuck You Sony. I have a PS4 already but damn would I have bought that if it wasn't, you know, so limited that only game outlets and shady Ebay sellers could get a hold of it.

The EU price is 400 Euro, suggesting that it's going to be RRP. Outside of the games press and PlayStation Experience, it'll probably be all Wimbledon-style lotteries to buy one in NA, EU and Japan.

Also, any eBay sellers claiming they have one are lying, and presumably are trying to flip one they hope to nab at PSX.

Looks cool but the very limited edition nature of it and the way it was suddenly announced makes me think it will sell out quickly and be scalped on ebay by a lot of people. I think I'll just wait until next year when they release a bundle with Uncharted 4.
