What's in Gears of War 3's Horde Command Pack?

Just bought this.

If I spend all my money on the season pass....and not have anything left for the actual map packs anyway...is it really worth it? o.O

I just played 500 waves of Horde this past weekend for charity, but god damn it I wanna play this!

@Mr. Kamikaze: When you buy the season pass you're buying the map packs. You're putting down the money up front and it's costing you 30% less. When they come out all you have to do is download them.

This is a 1.42MB unlock code. Just picked it up today via season's pass. Nothing unusual in this day and age but I expect more from Epic. I guess RAAM's Shadow and all of the upcoming versus content is on the disc as well.

Apparently some of the maps from this Horde pack will be free on Thanksgiving day, Nov 24th for Versus play. Interesting...

Did you not watch the video til the end? The season pass only saves you 33% on all the 4 dlc packs planned!

Buying the season pass is like buying all 4 of the planned map packs at once except you're paying for them in advance and it costs 33% less than if you bought them individually when they came out. It's not like like buying a coupon that gets you 33% off each pack when they come out.

@SuperWristBands: It's $30 bucks. If all the content is on the disk it'll sting a little heh.

Fuuuuck. Completely forgot this came out today and I left my 360 downstairs. Fuck it, I'll play it tomorrow cuz Uncharted 3 has my attention at the moment.

There's some pretty awesome content in this pack. If the rest of the packs are this great that seasons pass is lookin miiiighty tempting.

I think the general idea is that if the content was completed and available when the game was released then it should be playable from day one. DLC should be additional content that has been created since the game was originally released in order to prolong the life of the game. Not parts of the original game that have been locked out unless more money is put up.

@Scodiac: Not just map packs, almost anything they put out that is significant DLC (aka, not useless weapon skins). We also get any single player DLC they release in that time frame too. Also, all the content isn't on the disc...I think just this is and not everything is on the disc yet (aka maps) but the skins are.

@Thundermunch: So if you were going to buy the DLC anyway, I guess saving $ is not your thing? You make no sense. I did get the Season Pass for $30, and they announced a savings of 33%...so that means 4 packs at $10 each. But RAAM's shadow has already been announced at $15. So, either we would be saving even more, or one pack is scheduled to be regularly priced at $5. Hopefully that just means a great value rather than an insignificant pack of weapon skins. Then again, the season pass described packs as being released each quarter and we already have 2 coming out on back to back months.

So, this is on the disc, right? Kinda fuckin filthy, all of the new features'd be pretty cool, and shouldn't be held back by money. If you could get it on the disc and charge more for it, you're doing a filthy thing. Fucking disgusting. Epic is really not going in good directions. I loved Gears 3, and was really looking forward to this. No way in fuckin hell am I going to pay 10 bucks for on disc ANYTHING.
