Out of all those videos I enjoyed watching Ryse the most. I think it looks great. The executions look pretty damn brutal.

I think its mainly just the combat system that they compare to the Batman games as it seems to be very counter focused. Although I can't really see any comparisons to God of War like you said.

This all looks pretty blurry. Clearly Giantbomb's video pipeline wasn't made for the coming generation and is starting to look subpar.

I'll renew my yearly subscription when I get 4k or at least 1080p video on here. Some Twitch streamers started streaming and uploading to Youtube in 4k and it looks fantastic.

Man, I want to play Forza. Also, unless I'm mistaken, open wheel cars were in the 'R1' class in Forza 4.

Taking out the clock in Dead Rising makes a lot of sense to me. I also loved the old games, but the clock makes so much of the game not fun - killing zombies and most items/crafting is inefficient. To beat the game and save survivors you have to just find/build the best stuff, avoid zombies where possible, and carry around a lot of orange juice. Unless you explicitly ignored the story, you couldn't play around with the awesome world and tools.

My main concern is that DR3 just looks dark and grimy. A different atmosphere from the old games.

I'm not acting like that at all! I love the Mario games and I think Super Mario 3D World is gonna be fantastic! But what I'm saying is that there are new consoles out, and you'd think that as much as I love Super Mario, there would be something among these new next-gen games that I think would be as good as Mario, but I just don't see that happening.

It's good to see Crimson Dragon is a game on Xbone with some color. Ryse, DR3, and BF4 are too bland with their color palette.

Rise looks slick and that Kinect lean business?.. why they never mentioned it before! Can't wait for the next Batman or Mass Effect with those visuals!

Dead Rising 3 is basically about an Xbox fan going around eradicating hordes of mindless Sony Drones controlled and sent by the hive-mind at SonyGAF.

I'm concerned about how long the slowdown lasts when the enemies flash different colours. It depends on how it feels when playing but just watching the video made it look like it lasted longer than would be required for a fluid style of combat. I can see why it has taken some criticism for being a QTE game.

Yeah it's a bit of a bummer. He almost seemed reluctant to give Ryse any sort of props, despite the fact that it has been shit on unfairly IMHO.

Disappointed there was no Killer Instinct. Why show Battlefield? They showed off Crimson Dragon for like 30 seconds and that's one of the games I'm most hyped for.

But hey opinions right? All I know is I'm super stoked and there's actually a lot of stuff I want to play at launch for this thing. Combine that with Kinect seemingly working much better, and the interface looking pretty sweet and it combines into a pretty awesome package (in theory anyways).

I came into this feeling skeptical, and left feeling totally apathetic.

I appreciate the lack of hyperbole from the Giant Bomb team most of the time, but the jaded delivery of this video is so disheartening. Brad sounds like he's describing flat packed furniture and his memory of the finer aliasing details in BF4 is astounding for someone who usually can't reliably see a "PUSH THIS BUTTON" prompt in a game.

Do you guys even like gaming any more, if it isn't either something super niche or packed full of FMV?!

It's pretty damning that Brad described Ryse combat as shallower than Batman. I didn't know you could dumb down that system any more.

Oh, wow, weird. I hadn't even noticed that... What's interesting is that it doesn't seem to be a problem with the live "on the couch" stuff (at least from a super quick glance at a couple of UPFs) only the game capture...

They complained a lot about their TV being too dark, I wonder if they instead of turning up the brightness on the TV, turned up the brightness or gamma on the thing that sends to the TV, so that we also get the now way too bright stuff?

I think Dead Rising remains the only launch exclusive on either system that interests me much. But the new setting still turns me off some. It's so dull compared to the past games. I always found the previous games interesting, not just for the humor, but also the juxtaposition of the dark, zombie infestation with the bright, carnivalesque environments. This new one seems more of a typical post-apocalyptic zombie setting than the previous.

Yeah, that was weird to see, I thought they had started to get that kind of stuff right early this gen, possibly even late PS2 era (I seem to recall Project Snowblind and Black on the PS2 having pretty good looking reflections without those kinds of issues, and Timeshift on PS3/360 certainly did a great job with rain effects, wet asphalt and that kind of stuff back in 2007).

You act like Super Mario 3D World doesn't stand a chance of being an actual good Mario game. I think that game looks really rad from all of the preview coverage.
