Hey!  Long time forum reader first time poster.
 
I've been visiting this site since it started and I'm a little surprised that no one (to my knowledge anyway) has referenced Vinny's time as host of the hotspot.  Man, that was and is some of the funniest podcasting to date.  I still got the majority of his run on my iphone and still give 'em a whirl every so often.  I was all hyped when Vinny joined Giantbomb and then super bummed when he was not hosting-although Ryan's a great host and the true voice of the bombcast.  Is anybody with me on how great those Vinny hosted podcasts were?  I mean, the "porn as games bill" and "European Rock Band" segments still make me laugh. 

I too enjoyed Vinny as host of the hotspot. That's probably where most of us found out about him. 
 
As for him not hosting the bombcast, I don't mind. Not being the host gives him more breathing room to just go off and do his own stuff. "mah balls" might never have happened if he was the host.

Vinny was awesome on The Hotspot even when he wasn't hosting. That impression of the roller rink DJ, when he talked about the Japanese PSP GO! camera and him and Jeff saying Fudgy the Whale all deep and stupid. Loved those podcasts more than anything.

Vinny is and will always be one of my favorite personalities in the media, and he can definitely hold his own as host.

I think a lot of people remember the Gamespot days, but since Vinny seems to be doing/heading up the video production team and Jeff is in his Editor-in-Chief (unsure of official position title) managerial type thang, it makes sense for Ryan to host it, and it's not like he's a bad host either.

I must admit, i recall a live show where vinny was in charge, it might of been a starcraft TNT, and it was excellent. Vinny's got such great random humour.

I give props by having my avatar be of him giving an interview after his 100 hour live stream for whiskey media. If I ever change it just shoot me in the head. Vinny is the man!
