Overview
Dark Nexus Arena is the first forray into the MOBA genre by Games Workshop's iconic Warhammer 40,000 franchise. The game revolves around a series of slaves taken by the Dark Eldar from throughout the galaxy and pitted against each other in a fight to the death. This Action-MOBA fuses genre mechanics such a directional base attacks and twin-stick style action and movement.
Veterans
Currently, there are seven released Veterans for use in the game spanning Space Marines, Orks, and Tau. All Veterans are unlocked from the start of the game and are classified into Tanks, Strikers, Assassins, and Support.
Apothecary [Support]
A dedicated support, the Apothecary relies on linking both allies and enemies to buff and debuff health regen and damage.
Assault Terminator [Tank]
A bulky terminator who wields a Power Hammer and Shield, the Terminator is built around area impact and slows.
Ethereal [Assassin]
This Tau leader is a lead from the front style character who charges through enemies to stun opponents and buff allies.
Fire Warrior [Assassin]
A ranged character, the Fire Warrior puts out the most ranged damage against opponents but is the squishiest Veteran in the game.
Meganob [Tank]
This brutish Ork excels at rushing opponents and area crowd-control. Also the best Veteran to jungle camps.
Stormboy [Assassin]
The Stormboy is an initiator who can leap around the battlefield on a rocket and throws grenades. Highly volatile, and very squishy.
Cancellation:
After initially starting in Early Access in Late 2015, the game was cancelled in March 2016 after receiving a poor reception from fans.
