    Overview

Warhammer Combat Cards is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed by Well Played Games and released for iOS and Android devices on August 10, 2019. It was later released for the PC by The Phoenix Lighthouse on June 3, 2021.

A digital adaptation of the long-running Citadel Combat Cards collectible card game, Warhammer Combat Cards is set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe and features painted miniature models from the real-life Warhammer 40,000 miniature wargame in its card art.

Players choose from one of eight Factions and build a small deck consisting of a faction's Warlord (a powerful unit with special wounds whose death ends the game) and up to eight Bodyguards (units of varying strengths, from cheap "cannon fodder" to expensive elites) as they battle against opponents using each unit's three actions: melee attack, ranged attack, or psychic attack.

    Factions

There are three different groups of Factions: Imperial, Destroyer, and Ascendant. Choosing a Warlord determines which Bodyguards can be played alongside them (either from the Faction itself or those in the same group).
