Hmmm... Bowling was my favourite game in the original game so I'm happy it's back and a little more filled out.

Very cool. Can't wait 'til tomorrow. It's a shame so many other folks have unrealistic qualifications for certain types of games. They don't all have to be Call of Duty 4. Sometimes you just want to toss a disc with a virtual mutt. And as a gaming dad, it will be nice to have another worthwhile title my kids and I can connect with.

@JJWeatherman: Sure, out of all the launch titles for the Wii, the one I played the most was Wii sports. Im also sure this is a good game, just not a 5 star game. Besides that, it also kind of encompases the whole "Throw away" nature of the Wii, sure its fun to play with you dad, but after that hour or so is up it gets put down. Most of the people I know who are not "gamers" get excited facebooking and playing the Wii when they first get one, but as soon as the honeymoon period is over, they totaly forget about it. Its extreamly sad how much leway we give the Wii, especialy when games like this one come out and we give it 5 stars, just because something mildly playable and fun comes out on a gimmicky console. Its kind of like giving Tomb Raider on the N-Gage a good review because you could actually play it, not because it was a good game.

Well, I know I ordered this. Wii Sports is practically the only game for the Wii that I pick up years after its release, so why not pony up for more of that same kinda stuff? What other game am I going to buy?

The only thing that irritates me is that I'm spending all of this money basically on the Wii Motion Plus add-on, yet the only game I can foresee using it to any effect in the near future is the Tiger Woods game that came out a bit before this. Are there any other games in the near future? Even far future?

Why? Because it's fun? This is the kind of thinking that holds games back. Just because it's not your "run of the mill" game doesn't mean it doesn't deserve 5 stars. Wii Sports is the kind of game that prides itself in being goofy, charming fun, which a lot of other games cannot get right. Succeeding in making a game like this hold your attention long enough, and on top of that working well, should be grounds enough for a good score.
