I think it's best to ignore any such information found online until Nintendo makes their official announcement.

Thats way too much internal memory for a Nintendo console. Im not saying they wont do it eventually but I dont think it will be this gen.

#8 Posted by L33tfella_H (901 posts) -

Wasn't it already said that it would only have 8GB internal storage and would use discs with a 25GB capacity?

This is Nintendo we're talking about.

Custom Blu-Ray disc. So there jumping on the band wagon, assuming these specs are true.

Yeah, it's that time again when the internet will be filled with 90% useless speculation when it comes to console specs. Still always fun to see though.

3 year old hardware's still pretty decent, at least on PC. Remember, this is "Make a profit on every console sale" Nintendo.

Hmm, Blu-Ray and a 350 gig hard drive?  Yeah, call me suspicious of these specs.

Absolutely!  That's one of the things I enjoy most about E3; that rampant speculations, wish-lists and bold faced lies that pop up on the internet from "reliable" inside sources.

Yeah the Blu-Ray and Hard Drive made me suspicious too. I can't wait until the mock-ups of consoles really start popping up, they were pretty decent last generation, even the horrible ones. Heck even early official designs were fun.

Maybe I don't know my technological specs as well as I used to but this all sounds pretty good.  Better then I was expecting.

Notice how they're using old Wii colouration on the notice (Blue & White): This is BS, Nintendo would never attach an old formats colouration hallmarks to a new console.

@SlashseveN303: ah yes, who could forget the 2-sided curvy dildo with saggy boobs?

It took me quite some time to process what I posted about for someone to be talking about curvy dildos on Giant Bomb.

I've seen this posted a couple of times but does anyone know where this thing was originally sourced from?

Photoshop.

I'm joking of course and I second the need to know where this came from.  I got free time now so I'll look around as well unless someone already knows.

EDIT: From a total of a few minutes of searching, I believe the original source was from a german game studio of some sort.  I'm no real investigator so that is all I have for now.

Just as a side commentary, some of the techies at NEOGAF don't seem to buy it as the parts sound too farfetched to be seen as believable, with the RAM being of particular issue of course.  My personal view is that they need a gig of RAM at least if they still want to maintain relevancy at least in the early years of the next gen leap that will be made by Sony and Microsoft eventually.  Of course, all I'm saying here only makes sense under the assumption that these specs are true.  Hopefully these are just fakes at least for RAM, as that was one of the core components that developers complain about, as well as wanting SSD's or something similar to be used as a faster storage medium to reduce data transfer times.

The largest 360 HDD you can buy is 250...  Wouldn't you say 1TB is a bit overkill?  Sure, maybe not 5 years down the line when SSDs are replacing HDDs, but now?
#23 Posted by MachoFantastico (4503 posts) -

Not sure about those specs, I would be surprised if Nintendo went with blu ray.

#24 Posted by Thor_Molecules (732 posts) -

320GB? What do we need all that space for?
My 120GB PS3 slim still has about 80% free space, and there's a ton of useless crap on there.

Anyway, I doubt these specs entirely, I don't see Nintendo using Blu-ray, or any high-end hardware for that matter.
I think their "use cheap, outdated hardware and sell for huge profits" strategy has served them incredibly well.
Why would they suddenly do a complete 180?

Come on man 1T and everything is download. No disk. Would love that.

BTW: I got this pic from a German dude who said his brother works somewhere in a "big company".
The chance that it's fake is of course pretty high, but the specs wouldn't be bad if they were real lol.

I thought Nintendo already confirmed that it had 8 gigs of  internal storage?
In any case, I am preparing for extreme confusion when this thing gets revealed. All of the hopes and dreams swirling around various message boards inferring that Nintendo will produce a console that will be more capable than the current generation - I can't wait until they announce a device with 512 megs of RAM and an 8 gig drive.

#28 Posted by niamahai (1405 posts) -

can any developers explain the difference in video game console RAM requirements compare to regular PC RAM requirements?

Nintendo ain't paying the BD fees.

I could see this.
