    I know that feeling.  Used to be able to talk to most of my friends about regular things.  Now they just go on and on about WOW acronyms and shortened names.

    WoW thrives off boredom.  Most start to play WoW in their "down-time," but increasing "down-time" becomes less and less defined; rather than watching TV, reading, listening to music, or playing other games, WoW is an all-purpose entertainment.
