The Powerbombcast Goes to SummerSlam 2014
The Powerbombcast crew descends on the second-hottest pro-wrestling event of the summer (we couldn't get out to the G1 Climax, sadly), and comes away with more than a few stories to tell about random wrestler encounters, the state of WWE 2K15, and the decimation of John Cena by the conqueror Brock Lesnar. Special guests include Paste Magazine's Garrett Martin, Wargaming's Mana Drake, and GamesRadar's Henry Gilbert!
The Powerbombcast Episode 11 - REGARDLESS OF VAMPIRISM
It's just about SummerSlam time, but before Alex, Dan, and Giancarlo take off to see the show (and WWE 2K15), Jeff joins them to run down the card, mull over the WWE Network's subscriber problem, talk a whole lot about the WWE's checkered history with race, and marvel at the hot pile of garbage that is December to Dismember 2006.
The Powerbombcast Episode 10 - Where it All Begins Again, and Again, and Again...
After too many weeks away, the Powerbombcast crew returns to remind ourselves of what went down at Money in the Bank, predict the outcomes of Battleground, and reminisce over what WrestleMania looked like a decade ago.
The Powerbombcast Episode 9 - Nothing Was Batista, and Everything Hurt
Alex, Jeff, Giancarlo, and Dan analyze the last five weeks' worth of professional wrestling and come to a startling conclusion: wrestling's kind of bad right now.
The Powerbombcast Episode 8 - Going for the Cheap Poop
Dan and Jared are back from WrestleMania XXX and just can't stop talking (literal) crap. Also, we recap the biggest wrestling show of the year, debate the end of The Streak, say goodbye to the Ultimate Warrior, prognosticate on Extreme Rules, and discuss the relative merits and demerits of just starting our own video game wrestling league.
The Powerbombcast Episode 7 - *Points at WrestleMania Sign*
It's WrestleMania weekend! Join the gang as they make predictions for the many matches on the card, discuss the relative merits/demerits of a Daniel Bryan or Triple H title win, and try to guess what horrible things the Ultimate Warrior will say during his Hall of Fame Speech.
The Powerbombcast Episode 6 - Reliving the "Classics"
On this very special FREE edition of the Powerbombcast, the gang all recount their experiences with the newly launched WWE Network, and inevitably end up questioning whether they have the intestinal fortitude for watching terrible old wrestling. In addition, we talk Elimination Chamber, Wrestlemania, ill-gotten Ribera jackets, and the future prospects of NXT.
The Powerbombcast Episode 5: Animal Kingdom
On this first Powerbombcast of the new year, the whole gang gets back together to talk Royal Rumble predictions, the debatable value of Batista's return, watching New Japan Pro Wrestling into the wee hours, and what the WWE Network means for our collective viewing habits.
The Powerbombcast Episode 4: Season's Beatings
Alex, Jeff, Giancarlo, and Dan discuss the WWE's muddied title lineages, mostly try to forget that Survivor Series ever happened, and discover just what kind of Pandora's Box is opened when Jeff actually watches an episode of TNA.
The Powerbombcast Episode 3: This Podcast Title Is Being Held in Abeyance
Our monthly-ish wrestling discussion finds us recounting what we can remember of the last two WWE pay-per-views, talking some WWE 2K14, trading some hot Japanese wrestling tapes, and considering what to do with a DVR full of unwatched TNA episodes.
The Powerbombcast Episode 2 -- Kiss Me and I'll Kiss You Ryback
The greatest wrestling minds in video games reunite to talk SummerSlam stories, Daniel Bryan's championship blue balls, NXT, and the beautiful, platonic love between man and walrus.
