    Err, E82.

Woke up to it this morning. I've installed just about every game I've ever played yet my system's dead. :(

It definitely sucks, but welcome to the club. I have had two 360s break on me and after the second one I said fuck it. I have a good PC (and my trusty Wii of course) so it wasn't that big of a lost for me though. Also, installing games would only prolong the life of your DVD drive, and DVD drives are not the cause of most RROD's. I did a quick google search, and E32 happens to be a cold solder joint, which is the main culprit with 360s. If your warranty really expired today then try to call MS and see if they will still take it. I know it is a desperate move, but you might as well try.

We need a war crimes investigation. Where was the UN on this?

Seriously? Get on the phone straight away. If they don't cut you that tiny bit of slack, they are complete and utter bastards.

I made a mistake, it was E82, not 32. I'm talking with Support now to figure out if it really did expire today.

@Barrock: A couple of threads I just read have people saying that they fixed the E82 error with a reflow or reball so the two errors probably have similar causes. Nonetheless, I hope MS replaces your 360 duder.

It looks like the guy from support is going to try to get the fee waived considering it expired today. Such an odd coincidence.

I'm curious of open world games kill consoles. The game I was playing when my first system red ringed was Grand Theft Auto 4. The game I was playing when this one red ringed was Prototype 2.

For the sake of Microsoft's bank! They needs more money!
