I have the stock 20GB and want more space. I don't, however, want to lose everything that I own and have worked for. Can someone talk me through or direct me to a way to upgrade my HDD? I think I've figured out that buying a refurb 120GB from gamestop may be the cheapest storage option, but then what? Thanks.

I think you need to buy a transfer kit too. I'm sure it comes with instructions or the internet probably has them.

Transfer kit would be the easiest way but transferring everything to a USB stick and then transferring that to the new hard drive works as well if you can't find one/don't want to buy one. Be aware however that Xbox 1 stuff does not transfer (including games & saves) with the USB method.
