*Video delisted* So I guess some dude got an XboxOne early due to a shipping error from Target. The full story can be found on Kotaku.

The Xbox One is Microsoft's third video game console. It was released on November 22nd 2013 in 13 countries.
Guy gets Xbox One early due to Target Shipping error.
Too bad he can't actually play any games due to the day one patch and the network not being online to handle DRM.
Just got the Xbox One update.

@nekroskop: If you check out his Twitter account, he mentions downloading some initial 500 MB update. That might not be the final update that'll be there on launch day, but I'm guessing they already have something in place for media people that will be receiving or have already received early units.
The screenshots of the dashboard indicate that there are already hundreds of people playing launch day games.
Man microsoft pulled that video down in no time. That's when you say goodbye YouTube, hello DailyMotion.
@chaser324: @bigjeffrey: IT BEGINS!
He is playing COD: DOG
I put Ghosts in. It automatically started downloading #XboxOne

His Xbox.com profile. Currently just says that he's online playing Xbox One.
That guy is lucky. He could be putting out reviews and gameplay videos out now! He didn't even have to sign any NDA's lol.
@roarimadinosaur: Well, he already has one strike against his Youtube channel (his unboxing video has been pulled), so I'm guessing that he won't tempt fate by posting more videos.
His Xbox.com profile. Currently just says that he's online playing Xbox One.
Probably will get banned, i mean There was that one dude that got banned for send out instigram videos of GTA V.

That's preeeeeeeetty shitty.
@chaser324: He could just leak them else where like vimeo or dailymotion. There are plenty of places to put the content out there. Once a few people take the time to save the source, the videos can go viral.
@bigjeffrey: Those look really cool! Here is hoping Sony makes some new ones for the PS4.
@acidbrandon18: Did the Playstation 3 have ones you could choose from? I've never thought to check.
@chrissedoff: Yeah. It had a good number. Nothin as flashy as these new ones, but they were alright.
How can someone get banned for showing something they purchased legally?
Just what I thought. Pretty shitty of them for banning him for doing nothing wrong. They should be pissed at Target, not him.

I bet you'll find a line in the Xbox One's EULA that is for this exact contingency. Still super, super shitty of Microsoft to ban him.

Who reads those?! But yeah, it's probably hidden in there somewhere. Banning is fucking harsh though, could've just suspended his account until the 22nd. I'd be super pissed if they did that to me. I would probably take a trip to their Redmond office and uppercut all their staff.

I do suppose it's possible it's just a temporary ban. I'm not sure if the dialogue delineates between a temp ban and permanent ban. Perhaps it is as you said, banned until release day.
I would hope that's the case. Or that he'll just be able to return the console and get a new one. At -2 weeks from delivery, I imagine it's still within the return policy. ha.
Ban him? Microsoft should be praising this guy. He's single-handedly doing more to put the Xbox One out there than they're entire marketing department. I mean, at some point you have to actually show that your console WORKS, right?
I get the distinct feeling that he would not have been banned if he didn't, y'know, post everything to the internet.
I do think it's kinda shitty of them to ban him, but I highly doubt they permabanned the console. They're probably going to attempt to contact him to talk about why he was banned and when that will be reversed.
If they don't reverse it then... well, they should fucking reverse it.

He was definitely hyping it up pretty well! Though, I guess they do want to control the info that gets out. Hopefully they'll clarify tomorrow that it's just a temp ban until launch.
Though, apparently, he can still play singleplayer; so, that's nice. Sounds like it's still mostly functional for him besides going online, getting achievements, and multiplayer.
@somejerk: I have to agree, although the latest UI demo was pretty well done. The skype call was less awkward then when they showed it off at the initial reveal. They seem to be heading in the right direction.

Luck him, if he could connect, MS would probably soft-brick his system.
@maverick1: I imagine it probably isn't a permanent ban, and people from Microsoft will probably be contacting the guy to talk things over.
The people at MS that issued the ban and the takedown on Youtube probably didn't care about whether what this guy was saying was positive or negative. This is a decision likely driven primarily by the legal team, not the marketing team. They're going to apply these restrictions across the board to anyone getting the console early and showing it off. Otherwise, if they let this guy keep going and other people came along that wanted to trash them, it would look shady and inequitable if they issued bans and take down notices to only some.
@chaser324: A console ban for 360 was for ever so I guess it is the same here. but yeah I think MS will talk to him in some way if not it would be another PR nightmare.
@darji: This isn't really the same situation as someone doing something dumb and getting their Xbox 360 permanently banned. In the vast majority of those cases, it was mass bans due to legit cases of piracy or atrocious online behavior that deserved permanent bans. This is a limited situation that I'm confident will be handled in a more limited and exacting manner.
I'm sure if MS could disable Xbox Live completely until the 22nd, they would. However, there are people out there in the media that need access, and it has to be easier to temporarily ban a few people outside of that group than to implement a user white list that will only be in place for a few weeks.
