Yes yes, its from neogaf, but their rumor guy who apparently has big credibility (not to mention Gaf apparently permabans people for false rumors) reconfirms that he heard about this as well.

this could also be the gamecon news that Jeff said that they would have announced and pissed off everyone more

the original story goes, just like how there was a supposed pastebin from a MS employee a week ago, another one apparently surfaced, this time lamenting about how the policies got revoked, and the whole "think of the developers" routine, and then discussed the family share plan, and called it the "spotify or pandora for videogames"

here's the quote from the pastebin about the family share plan

When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour...When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game... The difference between the family sharing and the typical store demo is that your progress is saved as if it was the full game, and the data that was installed for that shared game doesn’t need to be erased when they purchase the full game!

So basically Timed Demo 2.0, some gaffers also claim that they did hinted at this all along.

    the quote below from Gaf.

Moving this post here since this seems to be the new thread.

What's funny is that they DID hint at this. In an obfuscated way. We just never noticed.

Remember when the DRM was first revealed? The easiest complaint was "What if I wanted to take it to my friend's house?"

    Remember the response?

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/...-always-online

We just glossed over that because we figured, during the PEAK of the "24 hour check" freakout, that 1 hour offline for visiting a friend was just more shit on the cake.

    Nope.

That was the max amount of time a friend could play a copy.

    Period

It was in front of our face the whole time.

as always this should get filled in the rumor category, so take this news with a grain of salt if you wish,

i think this is true though but thats more my hatred of MS speaking to be honest,

IF its fully true though, there is NO WAY microsoft would fully admit this to users now.
