Try messing with the custom controllers from Microsoft yet? I highly doubt I'll pony up for one, but it's still a cool offering.

I'll start it off with a couple RTD inspired designs...

This is my first one. Wish you could make the sticks white

@dinosaurcanada: White sticks would look cool, but they'd probably grime up pretty quickly.

I wish they gave you an option of form factor. Either the current Xbox One or go back to an Xbox 360, because I hate the ergonomics of the former.

Can't imagine bothering to buy one, but it's fun to fuck around with the colour schemes.

I was hoping they would've allowed you to add emblems/themes from MS games (i.e. Halo) or had metallic paint. Maybe if this takes off they'll add more options. *crosses fingers*

Hey, don't laugh, I can dream can't I.

I don't think I would bother with the extra expense for some custom colours. I've bought one special edition controller and had to replace PS4 controllers a few times due to the sticks wearing. I also had to replace an Xbox One controller because the thing wouldn't charge anymore yet the charge cable was fine for another controller.

If controllers lasted longer then a purchase wouldn't seem overpriced. I've not used one of the new controller with the paddles but at that price I would expect them to be more sturdy.

I have no idea how to get there. It redirects me to the Dutch general Xbox site. Don't really know how I can prevent it from redirecting me.

@zevvion: You'd probably have to use a VPN to mask your location.

go to the xbox.com homepage and on the bottom left hand corner it should have a picture of earth and your language and then country in brackets, click it and set it to USA.

I made a design yesterday, but for some reason it never let me go to the order part. It just redirected me to the front page. I'll probably try again later today. Here's the design I made by the way.

@zevvion: The European sites for building a controller don't seem to be up yet. A direct link to the customization site was floating around the chat last night, but I can't find it anymore.

@isomeri: it is the official charge lead. Must be the actual input to the controller as I have another that works & bought a new sub charge.

I can't spend money on something "dumb" like this right now, but maybe I'll get one for my next birthday or something.

I made a Gundam inspired controller. It doesn't show up for some reason but I put "Shining Finger" as a laser engraving to make it the dumbest G-Gundam inspired ninety dollar controller in the land.

For as nice as the official Xbox Ones are you can design much better mods are https://thecontrollershop.com/lab.php or a few other places. Hundreds of colors or images in twenty hues, custom buttons, etc. The online shops even give you options for gloss, grip surfaces, etc.

I tried to make one that best reflected my personality and internal struggles.

I would love to invert the stick colors and dpad/buttons, but no white sticks, nor blue buttons.
