Title says it all really. I was a big fan of PSO many years ago on the GC and Xbox, wondering if this is similar?

@uaedaien: I don't know if this will fully answer your question but I found this video awhile ago and it gave me a better idea of what to expect from the multiplayer.

Its more like Monster Hunter from the looks of that video :) I cant wait

@uaedaien: Haven't played PSO but in Xenoblade X you can only do dedicated co-op quests with 4 others after fulfilling certain requirements as part of the (up to) 32 player squads. Those big squads are in passively working together in their own solo games to work towards achieving these requirements after which you can group up and do those special co-op battles against big monsters.

@uaedaien: John Ricciardi from 8-4 just recommended on twitter this very thorough breakdown of how the multiplayer works.

There's more to the multiplayer than I thought it sounds awesome.

@tournamentofhate: that is a great outline for the MP.

I kind of wish there was a more casual, cruising around in mechs with some friends, wandering the world element. Or a pvp mode could be cool. I mean, even Xenogears had that mech fighting game section.

It will be a pain because of the lacking capability of the Nintendo Network's friend system, but I hope we can have a few community Squads up and running in the game's hot month(s).
