Here's hoping they make Majyu Ozawa's character hot, I have yet to be turned on by mere pixels but Ms Ozawa could potentially change that.

The turnaround time for this game seems crazy. I haven't played a Yakuza game before, but i'm certainly intrigued.

Does the canon matter too much in Yakuza games? I might give Y3 a shot, or Y1+2 if they come to PSN too, but I don't know if the previous story is really important to know, like in MGS.

I wonder if Yakuza 3 will come to EU. I've got Yakuza ordered for €10 and if it's any good I'll get Yakuza 2.

Visually Ryu ga Gotoku 4 looks very very much like RgG 3.  I'm surprised how fast they went from Kenzan to 3...

@Steve_C: The previous story is really important, but I know Yakuza 2 does a great job of keeping new players up to speed. The very first sequence asks if you'd like a full recap of the story up to that point. I'm not sure if they have this in Yakuza 3, but I'm willing to bet they do.

Honestly, if you're going to go back and play the previous games, just skip the first one. While it's nice to experience it firsthand, the English voice acting does it no favors.

Sega are continuing with a long running tradition with Yakuza 4's pre-order bonus. Those who order in advance will get a booklet titled "Kamutai Magazine. The Yakuza 4 version of this magazine that was included with past Yakuza games is 16 pages long. Sega has yet to detail the contents yet, but if it's similar to past Kamutai Magazine bonuses, it will feature a guide to the game's fictitious settings, including maps and store information.
