Dungreed is the first game made by South Korean studio Team Horay. Similar to Rogue Legacy, Dungreed is a 2d pixel sidescrolling action platformer "Rogue-lite" (a variant of Roguelikes where some progress is carried over from game Over to New Game).
The game begins when a dungeon suddenly appears in the middle of the player protagonist's town, destroying the town and trapping the villagers in the process. It is up to the player to rebuild the town by rescuing villagers from within the Procedurally-generated dungeon. As the player does so, the rebuilt village will give the player access to progressively more powerful weapons to use in their quest.
