Gwynevere

Gwynevere is a minor character in Dark Souls. She is a goddess of the sun and daughter of Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight. The real Gwynevere abandoned Anor Londo long ago with most of the other gods, but an illusion of her created by her brother Gwyndolin awaits the Chosen Undead in the city's central keep. Upon reaching the illusory image, it explains that the Chosen Undead is destined to succeed Gwyn before presenting the player character with the Lordvessel. If the player attacks the illusion, it disappears along with the sunlight illuminating Anor Londo. Gwyndolin, the only deity that still remains in the city, will then challenge the player to a duel.
