The Giant Bombcast is paired very well with a hot cup of coffee and an old fashioned donut.

A staple in modern shooters. They hide, crawl, creep, climb and jump, and are usually pretty weak but hard to hit.
Extraterrestrials appear in many video games in a variety of styles. Sometimes they're evil, sometimes they're benevolent, and sometimes they're very similar to humans.
An often used plot device where the main character wakes up and has lost all their memories. The game usually centers around getting your memory back or uncovering the events that lead to your confusion.
A hybrid of the Amnesia and Immortality concepts, an Amnesiac Immortal is an immortal who has lost his/her past memories. This could mean that they've lived so long that they've forgotten about much of their past, or that they may not even be aware that they are in fact immortal.
Artificial life-forms ("robots") specifically designed to mimic the appearance of human beings. Although this is a male-specific term, with female-looking machines actually being "gynoids", the term "android" is generally used universally in video games.
The lowest of all the angelic orders, angels are tasked with delivering God's messages to humans in addition to being personal guardians. Angel has also become a generic term for any such kind of heavenly being.
A different take on the commonplace video game death. Different ways to avoid death can include time travel, as in Prince of Persia; or a minigame, as in Prey.
An organism consisting of both natural and artificial systems.
The Dark Eldar are a Kindred of the Eldar, an ancient and advanced race of elf-like humanoids. They were introduced to the Dawn of War franchise with the most recent release (besides the pending Dawn of War 2) with Dawn of War: Soulstorm
Elves who have often been corrupted in some manner, changing their skin tone and leaving them with a predisposition towards evil. Sometimes called "Drow".
Demons are generally creatures of evil, usually from Hell, who are often totally untrustworthy even when they're not murdering everyone and destroying everything in their path.
Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
When one who is particularly strong in the Force dies, there is a possibility that they retain their individuality as a spirit. Some Dark Side-aligned spirits attempt to cheat death in this way.
Frankenstein's monster is the creature inspired by the Mary Shelley novel, Frankenstein. Usually creatures inspired by this theme are made from different body parts and almost always have bolts through their necks. They're usually naive and destructive.
These spooky entities are the spirits of the dead, returned from beyond their graves for generally sinister purposes. There's generally about even odds whether a particular ghost will be helpful or malevolent towards the living, but some ghosts just want to be left alone entirely.
This tag is for all games and characters that deal in the concept of gods, demigods, half-gods and the like.
God Mode is an ability, often entered through a cheat code, that gives the player god-like abilities.
A Horcrux is a form of Dark Magic that allows a Witch or Wizard to encase part of their soul in ordinary objects, making them invincible.
In Eternal Darkness, the Horror is a lumbering nightmarish creature with three heads. It has the power to drain either health, magick or sanity.
A lich is a powerful sorcerer who became undead through a magical ritual they cast on themselves. Usually lichdom is achieved to extend their "lives" or give themselves more power. They can control vast hordes of undead.
Games featuring characters that are physically much younger than their actual age would dictate. This does not count gods or similar deities that are considered ageless.
Lycanthropy is the disease or curse where a person changes into a, usually wolflike, were creature. The disease is spread by being bit by an existing lycanthrope, and is accompanied by a forced transformation into an anthropomorphic creature during each full moon.
Mummies are lumbering undead corpses wrapped in bandages. They are often associated with ancient Egypt and may have magical powers or be immortal.
Genetically evolved humans, animals or aliens.
Sauron's most terrible servants. The Nine were once mortal men who one by one succumbed to the power of the One Ring.
Nazi Zombies are a combination of two of gaming's main bad guys, Nazis and Zombies.
The Necrons are soulless metal warriors, awakening from a long slumber in their ancient tombs. They serve the C'tan, ancient gods that feed on the energy of the living.
A circumstance in video games where the player will defeat large numbers of enemies without any assistance from AI or other players. This may occur for part of a game or the entirety of it.
Enemies that are adamant in their will to hunt you down. Example: Pac-Man ghosts.
The Pookas are a race of anthropomorphic rabbits found throughout Erion. It is said that Pookas are all that is left of the populace of the Kingdom of Valentine, cursed to live in Pooka form after an incident with the Crystallization Cauldron that destroyed their kingdom.
