Favorite Games I Played in 2020
A lot of these games didn't come out this year, but these were the games that brought me the most joy in a year otherwise devoid of it!

GOTY. Apart from the amazing art, music, controls, writing etc, developers will likely be using this game as a holy textbook in game design for years to come.
Perfect controls helped elevate this cute little game into something really, really special.
They nailed it.
Quickly jumped to the top of my favorite metroidvanias of all time. Strong recommend.
Right place. Right time.
Bounced off it for years until it finally hooked me this year enough for me to 100% it. Loved it.
If you're going to shamelessly rip something off at least do it well. They did.
I've waited my entire life to get immersed in a world like Night City in video-game form. Its rough, its overly ambitious, but the design, architecture, story and performances sold this world well enough for me to be completely lost in it. Maybe wait a year though.
The best place WoW has been, maybe ever. Fantastic expansion.
Memories of my experiences in the first dozen hours exploring this beautiful world managed to outweigh the monotony that followed.
The genre that Gears should have always been, if you ask me.
It's good now, I swear.
First time playing it this year and it holds up really well! Fun ARPG.
Never reaches the highs of the first, but still an incredible experience.
My love for ARPG's and Minecraft probably helped, but I had a lot of fun with this one.
My actual secret GOTY for the past 3 years.
