Voice acting is fantastic. Not just Nathan's either.

Nathan Fillion plummeted right into the uncanny valley.

I'm psyched for ODST, and I'm a big Halo fan in general, but for such a flagship franchise, you'd think they could afford a motion-capture studio session or at least hire a few competent animators.

I've got this pre-ordered. The voice acting is good, but the framerate looks a little "off", if you know what I mean.

funny guess I didnt realize how nath fillion it would be.  I think it is also funny that they got adam baldwin to play dutch as well.  its like listening to firefly while playing halo, or like oil and water.  Not totally sure I like it, guess we will see what it is like

Honestly, this looks better than the Halo 3 campaign.

I feel like such a whore; the only thing convincing me to play this game is Nathan Fillion's sexy, sexy future Sergeant Malcolm.

Nathan Fillion was on the Bungie podcast recently and it "sounded" like he did this for more than just the money, but  honestly sounded like a big fan of the games.  Plus both of the firefly guys had been in previous halo games as chatter, and I thought I heard the pilot from firefly (the ODST setting rigging the bridge to blow) in there too.

This video alone has spurred my interest in ODST and Halo in general. Good job, Bungie.

I'm certainly more interested in this than any other Halo release so far. Probably because this game has actual characters instead of a faceless one-liner machine.

LOOOKS AMAZING OMG!

I still don't understand what the story is supposed to be in this game, which makes me suspect there basically is no story.  I understand the bare bones elements (that your team drops in, everything goes to hell, and you have to fight off incredible odds to save the city from multiple perspectives) but honestly that sounds generic and boring as hell.  Sort of like the New Mombasa level of Halo 2 dragged out into an entire game.

And I know I'll get flamed for saying this but Fillion's voice doesn't lend itself to video game acting.  His talents lie in his mock-serious style of humor and moments of physical intensity, neither of which seem to translate very well into voice acting.  Whoever did Cpt. Keyes in original Halo was the best, hell that game was the best one so far.

dialogue in this looks ultra-mega cheesy just like it was in halo 2 and 3. which is lame. i was hoping they would work on that more than anything. oh well, it will probably be a good game.
