Japanese Voice Actor: Noriaki Sugiyama English Voice Actor: Bryce Papenbrook A young steeplejack (a craftsman who scales buildings, cliffs and other high, dangerous places), the only person of his age living in Blue Canyon Hamlet (except tatsumi who's only been there a couple of months) and our main character. The game begins with him encountering Sakia Lumei as she's being hunted down by the Clusternian military. His driving motivation for the early part of the game is helping and protecting Saki, the girl Sakia leaves in Aoto's care. He's outgoing, kind hearted (to the point of gullibility in some characters oppinions) and somewhat dense when it comes to women while still being a genius when it comes to inventing things, making him more like the first game's Lyner than the second's Croix.
Japanese Voice Actor: Yumi Shimura English Voice Actor: Karen Strassman Hymns sung by: Rekka Katakiri At the end of 'Ar Tonelico: Melody of Metafalica' Cocona was tasked by Jakuri(Mir) with taking a special crystal called the Heart of the Land (Heart of Gaea) to a person called Harvestasya located in Sol Cluster where 'Ar Tonelico Qoga' takes place. She becomes a vanguard later in the game and is one of the four romance Options. She is a Reyvateil and - having aged a little since 'Melody of Metafalica' - is now able to use song magic. However she is currently too far from Metafalica and Infel Phira to channel enough Symphonic energy to perform any magic and as she is an 'I.P.D.'(Infel Phira Dependant), she cannot make use of the third tower's power. This has the upside of slowing down the exhaustion of her Telomeres to a mere crawl, meaning she does not require doses of Diquility to continue living.
Japanese Voice Actor: Eri Kitamura English Voice Actor: Stephanie Sheh Hymns sung by: Haruka Shimotsuki One of the main Heroines and a pureblood β-type Reyvateil from Clustania. When Aoto first meets her she is the clumsy mascot girl of the Yokorra Bistro in the Eternus shaft but she quickly proves to be much more than that. She is physically weak and mostly powerless which are highly unusual traits for pureblood β-types. Of the two main Heroines she has by far the most disturbing and troubling cosmosphere as it appears even the world of her own mind exists to torment and degrade her as examplfied by her mind guardian Momoko who could best be described as the schoolyard bully who singles you out and acts like your friend whenever the teacher is present. She loves cold treats like ice cream and snow cones, but because she's always so careless, she always gets brain freeze.
Hagel is the friendly bald blacksmith who runs Beefy's Weapon Shop in Arland.
Japanese Voice Actor: Mai Gotou English Voice Actor: Cristina Vee Hymns sung by: Akiko Shikata One of the main Heroines and a strange kind of Reyvateil who shares her body with multiple personalities who alter the shape of the body when they are dominant. Sakia Lumei was in control when she first encountered Aoto but then surrendered the body to Saki and left the girl in Aoto's care. She is impossibley pure and innocent which is a stark contrast to previous Heroines who all had some sort of darker side to their personality. In times of crisis and great emotional strain she prays to the Goddess and can perform miracles (such as turning several clustanian soldiers into pieces of cake).
Sakia Lumei Japanese Voice Actor: Mai Gotou
