this is a great idea. the only thing that would make this

would be if you record short little interstitial/bumper vids to randomly slide in between regular videos. just like classic mtv, tim & eric, or even something similar to radiohead's The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time.

This sounds like something i'll use a lot. I find myself oddly drawn to watching old giant bomb videos as it is.

Now they just need a satellite radio channel where they play random Bombcasts 24/7. I would be emersed in GB content at all times.

Only 2 things that need fixed are:

Poll pools need to be smaller. There's way too many options.

Poll times need to be longer, it goes by too quick to read through all the options.

Wow, that's a great idea.

I understand this is likely not an easy implementation, but I would recommend either prioritizing one-off videos or medium length videos (20-40 minutes) in the voting so that there can be more variety throughout the stream. This would also help avoid nostalgists being able to upvote every most-nostalgic thing that pops up, always (for example, launching with a mid-MGSIV video then a deep, deep cut Persona 4 video).

Also, the polls should be longer since the polling window is still hard to fully take in generally and ends too quickly to fully weigh the options given.

I'm not sure if this is how it is now, but I think GBTV should remain free to all but the chat open to only premium members, perhaps with tiered cooldowns for monthly and yearly (not saying I agree with that, just spitballing) but maybe even voting only for Premium too. But that's just me thinking as a business man.

Primarily I think the voting stuff, and what enters consideration for voting, could use a bit more...consideration?

Definitely extend the timer for voting. Wasn't able to read all the options before the voting ended :/

@rorieReading through the comments and I'm still not exactly sure if this whole thing is Premium only or if having chat alongside the video is Premium only.

Gave the link to a friend thinking he could watch it and he is saying its Premium I guess, as someone already pointed out earlier.

I feel like we've been waiting for this for a long time, but didn't even know it.

Finally! There are so many old videos that i dont even know are good so i have to randomly look for them with qlcrew. Chat is always great.

I've seen pretty much every piece of video content you've made in the last 10 years so I'm stoked.

Awesome feature. Suggestions:

- a link to the current video playing (whether it's on youtube or giantbomb)

- something on the front page that updates with what's currently playing

- longer poll times (or potentially fewer options). By the time I finish reading through the options it's closed

- maybe a twitter bot that tweets what's playing next? I might not have the site open all the time but if i catch a tweet for a show I'm interested in then I would hop on

Damn...now I'll have a use for my second monitor...to play this all the time! :D

Yeah this is perfect for bedtime viewing.

Congratulations to the engineers for figuring out how to keep a permanent chat running. I know that was always what stopped something like this before.

Absolutely awesome idea. 10 years later and you guys still come up with brilliant stuff. Whomever came up with this is the best.

This is very cool. There's such a huge back catalogue of excellent Giant Bomb content that it makes sense to have it running in a stream all the time. Thumbs up!

Pretty cool. I usually go through my usual videos and podcasts, then put on a stream. But now I could just tune into this.
