Batman: Arkham Asylum puts you behind the cowl of the iconic Dark Knight, fighting his way through Arkham Asylum to stop the Joker from enacting a sinister plot that would have grave consequences for Gotham City.
"They really should have used TDK's batsuit or something. The grey leotard looks even worse now than ever."
"
Nay, good sir. It is I who begs to differ!"
That's a terrible example of the classic suit, and the TDK suit wasn't that great. I thought the Batman Begins suit looked a lot better in that it made batman look less like a sleek ninja and more like a huge beast of a man. As for the suits that Hexpane showed, almost all of those are also bad examples of Batman's suit. And to HandsomeDead, the cape is one of the defining features of Batman. It acts as a sort of glider and adds to his ethreal, unnatural, shadow-like effect. Capes are pretty old school, but Batman is the only one (that I know of) who puts it to practical use, and is a major feature of his character. He just wouldn't be Batman without the cape.
I'm still worried it's confined to only Arkham. Hopefully the end will be something like everyone escapes Arkham, and Batman needs to catch them all in the sequel.
