Repetition Killed This Game For Me.
Repetition killed this game for me and I am surprised that more people have not chimed in on it. Backtracking through the entire island multiple times, roughly the same fighting mechanic, the same puzzle mechanics drove me insane. I am surprised I made it 5 hours into this game.
The game has a great first impact when you play it. The controls are well done, the fighting is impressive (the first time) and the voice acting is incredible. But once you start beating up the same group of thugs in the same way the 10th, 11th, 50th time, your eyes just begin to glaze over.
The look of the game was "OK", but not stellar. The game suffered from the same "sheen" this is so common with the unreal engine and I was actually rather put off by its effect in such a dark environment.
The only saving grace I found was the voice acting and character design. All of the voice actors were very well done and some of the character designs held true to their roots, but grew the character nicely.
