Who else has played it and doesn't think they'll be going back to the 'vanilla' maps again?

I'm loving the addition of 7 flag conquest too, I haven't came across any of the new weapons yet, I'm not sure how you go about getting them.

Conquest Assault is the biggest reason yet why servers need to be balanced by rank and not just who joined last.

There's various challenges to unlock the weapons. They're listed in your battlelog profile. Been swamped with school work, I totally forgot this is out. Guess I need to get it. =P

Fucking finally. Maps that are made for 64 players. All the BF3 maps are in this weird not as small as BC2 but not big enough for 64. Though the destruction is some spots is fucking retarded - it just makes the maps less fun to play.

Yes! Those maps are amazing!!! I totally agree with you.

Some of them are actually really big too, having like 5 or 6 Conquest points(for a console standard).

And Veterans of BF2 already knew this, However that dosnt stop them from still loving them.

god damn it i wish i didn't have to go to work!!!!!! The maps really do look awesome and im glad they kept them faithful. However looking over the assignment system for unlocking the new guns. most of them i will probably pass on/never unlock. i dont want to play SQD TD, i dont want to play RUSH and so on. but thats just me.

From what little I got to play before it all went bust, I really like Karkand and Oman. Wake Island not as much and don't think I played Sharqi at all yet.

Still trying to get use to the maps.

With the Karkand maps looking this good, I have been slightly disoriented with their layout (except for Wake Island of course).

Only played 32 Wake with a 10v10 or something, a bit empty, but man that shit sucked. I cruised around in my jet killing shit and died, killed shit, woo we won. As RU that is. I don't think it seems that good to be honest, but maybe these maps are actually okay on 64. I've played thousands of hours of BF, but mostly on 48 or 32 servers since I find 64 to be absolute skilless chaos where camping is rewarded. I don't enjoy being shot from four directions at once on Karkand and never being able to flank.

That said, 32 Karkand is absolutely amazing and the best map in BF3 so far. Both cq and rush. Sharqi rush was kinda fun, cq is very empty. Keep in mind its 32 and cq small, not large (people who run cq large 32 servers should not be allowed to have servers). Wake.. Super boring. Oman is pretty damn neat, I like it, but it's not as I remember it. Was very fun defending the beach in a chopper or jet though.

Also that dude above, Robbaz, didn't know he was an absolutely awful youtube commenter. Just seen him on swedish forums. In the first minute he talks about taking a shit, jerking off, and of course loudly proclaming people faggots. Real nice and mature guy, cant play for shit either.

Due to SW:TOR early access, I've only played a round of Karkand and two of Oman, but hot damn...

I'll just leave some music on here to convey emotions of joy! BF3 survived the night. It's were the fun is at.

after coming home from work i went straight for the battlefield (girl friend? whats a girl friend?) and man oh man i had an amazing round on wake island. i shot down so many helicopter with my tank! i really wish i owned FRAPS because i dont think anything is going to top that one for awhile. 

Everything about all of these maps is just so much better than most of the vanilla maps. It's embarrassing how much worse they've gotten.

Hopefully they do the right thing and make the rest of the bf2 maps. This needs to be done. I know they like working on new maps, but lets face it the new maps suck. Great for Rush, but conquest not so much.

Wasn't into Battlefield back in the day so I have no nostalgia love but man im really enjoying these new maps.

Which of the new maps has scout helicopters on it? I think they are underused.

Played Wake again today on a full 32. Still kind of boring, but I learned how to utilize the F35. It's very cool and kind of amazin in some aspects, but for straight up dogfights it requires so much more skill.

The maps are pretty great, although I feel like you can easily get way too far away from any action on Wake Island even with 64 people.

If the new maps are more in style with B2K than BF3s original maps then I'll be happy, although I would like to see a larger version of something resembling White Pass from BC2, just so we can have a town to fight through and completely level to the ground.

Origin is fucking me over uuntil they fix this "bug". I bought the DLC for my retail copy, Battlelog says I have it, I've been charged for it, but origin doesn't recognize I have it ie I can't update my game with it. Apparently this will be fixed by tomorrow but man...

You can pretty much level Karkand and Oman. Pretty much every building is fully accessible and fully destructible. It's INSANE! Have not yet played the other two maps.

I figured out my issue. Apparently Origin's infrastructure isn't too smart. What you need to do is exit Origin, then manually log out of Battlelog. Log back into Battlelog and launch a game from there and it should work.

I like the maps, but not loving the conquest assault game mode yet. Maybe I just need to more time to learn it...

i love them i just wish the battle log would work properly i keep getting dissconnected or kicked and i know its not because of ping or anything like that such BS

First lengthy session of B2K. Love it!

I feel like a farm cattle being released to roam the wide open praerie.

Some of the assignments are bogus though. Not looking forward to earn 5 SQDM wins.

Not sure why everyone hates on Squad DM so much, Siene Crossing is amazing when infantry only on that mode. Easiest way to go about gettting those wins if you're not a fan however is playing with 3 other duders in a squad and all playing assault. Garunteed wins when you never die.
