I gotta say, I really loved and enjoyed the times you get to be Aiden scaring the shit out of people and what not. It was a neat experience. The negatives have all been pointed out already so there is no point in discussing it further. Overall, I think it's fun and that, for me, is good enough.

I just learned that if you start a new game, or load from chapter select and select 'Save', then it wipes all progress from the selected chapter. Just FYI for those going back for trophies.

The game is great so far, i enjoyed indigo prophecy back in the day but really hated heavy rain, but this game fixed everything i hated about that (acting and dialog). I think the gameplay is fun, the addition of aiden adds a lot to the other wise formulaic *david cage* gameplay. It's more like an adventure game with nice action pieces and well acted story this time around. I think their is missed opportunity for puzzles and things like that with aidens abilities, but i'm loving the game so far, about to start the "homeless" scene (not a spoiler since they had gameplay footage of it before it came out)

I watched a playthrough of the game, and I thought the story was quite enjoyable. It's definitely hokey in spots, but among the performances of the main characters and the stunning visuals, I really had fun with it. I'll most likely buy it in the future just to see the different endings for myself.

The narrative in this game is just as bad, if not worse than any other David Cage game. I agree that the out of order "style" of this game feels more disjointed than actually serving some narrative purpose. I am not playing the game myself, I am watching a pretty funny LP of it through someone else. I am at a point where an out of left field plot point came into the play and the scene plays out like you actually knew what the hell anyone was talking about, I am curious if it will actually be explained. I am assuming not.

I would like to note that I know it seems like it would be unfair to judge a game before actually playing it myself, but I find that in this case it is OK considering David Cage wants his games to be movies. The way I see Quantum Dreams games is that pushing a button in their game is like turning a page in a book.

I loved the game and hope Cage gets to make another.

Alright, finally beat it. Beyond is definitely one of the 10+ games I enjoyed more than Brothers this year. I'm just sad we'll never get to play the crazy post-apocalyptic sequel.

Beyond is basically a bigger budget Brothers - simple gameplay, all about the emotions. But with it becoming a Carpenter or Cameron scifi flick in the end. Can't wait to see what craziness Cage has in mind for the PS4.
