I played through parts of the first Bible Black game recently, and I have to give it to them. The game is still one of the best visual novels to come out, and sure it has a lot of violent and really good looking sex, it's still a fantastic game with a great plot.
Let's be adults here for a second, and see this game for what it is.
Most sex games don't put work into the plot, and it focuses on the sex. Bible Black doesn't do that, it has character development and it has a style of focus that even many story based games today don't have.
There's a solid narrative, plot twists, a moral compass, and amazing voice acting. It's a shame that sex games get the negative view that they do, I got a hunch if people really played Bible Black instead of masturbating to it, they'd like it.
So, people who played it (don't lie...I know a lot of people on the forums did), did you really play it and enjoy it, or did you just skim past the plot?
Who knows, maybe one day we can mature as an industry and these type of games will be respected in best story categories.
There's a running joke in this anime club i belong to. During out meetings we sometimes play group pictionary, one person draws everyone has to guess. Since we're the ones giving the suggestions (sort of like drawing papers out of hat), someone always puts bible black, xD. Usually people just draw a bible, and the board is already black...

Playing games like this and Catherine is one of the benefits of moving out of your house. Sadly, I am not able to reap this benefit, because I live with my parents.

To give a more serious response: while I again have very limited exposure to the series as a whole, and EXTREMELY limited experience with it in a video game format, I can't help but feel that whatever sort of story or character development it has is still a means to an end to display very graphic and detailed scenes emotional controlled sexual encounters. And while I think that there should be room for this sort of game in the world, I also think there should be room for filmed and drawn pornography. By the same token, I don't think that the brilliant Breakfast Club porn parody (seriously, seek it out. I'd link it here, but, well, y'know) expands the role of "maturity" in film. I think its a decent holding structure to get to jerkin' assistance. Eroge games are first, and foremost, pornographic in nature. Overanalyzing them seems to miss the point by a wide shot, and for my taste I'd like to see more games that dealt with sexuality without resorting to those tropes. IE, there's a way to talk about fucking without making your game all about sex scenes.
Somehow I um, stumbled across a few clips somewhere. There is not a chance in hell I could play this game without anticipating when the next hardcore scene is.

But really guys, at least look at it with an open eye at least. There's a lot of adult games like TooHeart2, and LoveHina virtual novels that are also sex related, but contain most of the time of talking to characters and seeing them change over the course of the game.
It got very depressing seeing how the true ending played out for the cast.
I still prefer Type-Moon's Tsukihime as my choice for character/plot driven "Mature" game. Although it also has sex, there is a family-friendly version where all of that is taken out. Honestly, the sex in the game is doesn't move the plot or build on the cast of characters, it just serves as a "reward" for hitting all of the correct flags. At the very least, it made me appreciate Melty Blood that much more.

I can't play this. My girl is always home. After I get sexy scene I will automatically jump her. And that sounds like it's every 10 minutes of gameplay. I just don't have the energy for that.

You must not have played a lot of VNs. Bible Black, and the other stuff made by those people, and its tendency to drop ridiculous ways to get into strange sexual situations every 10 seconds is...just insane.
I played this game and i found it quiet fun. No i didnt sqeeze one out while playing. It has an interesting story but my only problem is i payed 89$ for it and kinda feel like i shoulda only payed 50$ But thats just me and my buying of H games.
I was reminded of its existence while looking through the "Moral Decision" concept for the Epic Mickey Quest Set, and am considering procuring a copy. The anime/hentai is pretty good - didn't know it was based on the game, and not the other way around.
