BioShock 2
Game » consists of 26 releases. Released Feb 09, 2010
Ten years after the events of the first game, Subject Delta is awoken and must unravel the mystery behind the Big Sisters and his own past in the ruined underwater city of Rapture.
Watch BioShock 2 In Action. Right Now!
If GiantBomb were BioShock Ryan and Jeff would be Big Daddies and Vinny and Brad would be Little Sisters.
I don't know what I was expecting, but the footage looks so similar to Bioshock 1 that I am less excited now then before I watched the footage.
while i feel the sequel is kinda forced, i must say that those underwater effects are pretty awesome.
Do you guys have to support GameTrailers? le sigh. Compressed, shit quality put up by a bung of idiots obsessed with the female body.
You guys better have a quick look for this game when its release comes up! And it better be like, an hour long. Looks so kick ass, but I hope they make the drill melee more then just a punch. I want gore, I want drilling, I want bad ass chainsaw equivalince!
And JESUS. the underwater part looks incredible. If this game doesn't have like, characters actually getting wet (ie Drakes Fortune) and geometric, dynamic water surfaces. The first game had great water, but it wasn't dynamic or anything.
I looks EXACTLY like the first Bioshock, hopefully this isn't just a rushed sequel. I mean, come on, at least try to make the game look a little better.
It looks like Bioshock(1) minus the awesome story and cool effects of having bees come straight out of your arm. Seriously Bioshock might be my favorite game of all time but this just doesn't look that great. This seems like some stupid idea a little kid had after playing Bioshock for ten minutes. I hope I'm wrong.
I kinda don't want to go back to Rapture. I loved Bioshock but I feel like to see the same setting again will make it get older a bit quicker.
However if they address enough little stuff, and overall just improve the feel of the shooting (which I can even see from the trailer), then I'm all for it. I feel like they could take the concept further and if the setting is the thing that stays the same, fine with me.
Looks like Bioshock 1 just smoother, better effects, and hopefully from what i'm seeing better gun play. Frankly i dont know how the hell are they gonna put a story as good as the first into this one, and the fact that the original team isnt working on this one does cast doubts on its success.
I think it looks fantastic, the animation on characters seems to be notably smoother and effect much improved. Take those water effects after that submersion for example, those are beautiful, you gotta love the amount of particles, and the effect it creates.
Impressive, so much so when I saw it earlier this morning I wished the original had an engine so refined.
Looks exactly like BioShock. So...take it or leave it. Also I thought that last line at the end was pretty cheesy lol.
lol @ some of the posts above.
We know absolutely nothing about how well it's story here is crafted, but given the emphasis on story in the last game, I think it's safe to assume the writers have applied equal focus to it in this game. This game could be awesome in that aspect, and most likely will be. If your going to judge the sequel solely on your thoughts that a sequel should never have been made, well that's silly, you don't know the story, and how gameplay will be effected for better or worse.
I have gotten over my initial dislike of the idea, I suggest other fans try to also, keep an open mind about what this game could possily offer, it could well improve upon many aspects of the original.
I'm still not in line with the concept. Jack (?) from Bioshock was already pretty faceless but playing a Big Daddy? Where's the emotional attachment in that? I hope this game will hit me and my stupid assumptions in the face with a great story.
But hey: It's still Bioshock and Rapture still looks awesome.
I just don't know how to feel about this game... Playing as a Big Daddy and RETURNING to rapture... Seems like a cop out
This game looks awesome! But am I the only one that noticed the drill isn't actually attached to this Big Daddies arm when he's flailing in the water.
So you're what? A Bigger Daddy? The Biggest Daddy? Now with interchangable parts, faster-than-plodding speed, and karate chop action!
Sure, it looks like Bioshock - but does it It looks like bioshock in the same way that Gears of War two looks like Gears of War one?
