Most of them will be angry when they play it.  It's not as shiny as the media suggests.  All you need is a open mind.  Just ignore all that, an go in there an try to kill as many of those red mother frackers as you can.

That's weird, my housemate activated his copy this morning on steam without any problems.

Anyone activating theirs before a certain time are playing OK it seems.

Can't think why this would happen bar some huge crippling bug in the Uk version (surely no different from the US?) or a server meltdown which, considering the tepid reviews, is unlikely to happen due to demand...

It's a weird one.... everything seems fine in game. I just ended up buying it on D2D, getting the CD code from there and putting it in Steam.

    Bloody Steam.

Yeah just noticed that this morning - what is up with this game?  It's getting to be a pretty disasterous launch!

No kidding. It's quite the commendable feat when a game itself knows it's bad, bad enough to remove itself from a distribution service.

In short: GAME OF THE YEAR

D2D UK? Assumed that wouldn't work as it still needed to go through Steam.

Tempted to get it from Game.co.uk's download service as that's basically just a steam key also and they have a far cheaper price than the others. Unsure whether or not to just wait until Monday to see if Steam clears up the issue and then just buy a retail copy for less and wait for delivery.

Hmm... reviews have tempered my urge to play it right now at full price. If I can get it for a decent discount (around £23 or so) I might take the jump.

@Vitor: I think it depends a lot on if you can play with people you know etc... I played with 2 friends yesterday and it was a lot more fun than playing alone :)

Yeah, don't have a lot of PC playing friends and am currently in Japan so time zone issues would get in the way of a lot of potential GB steam play. However, as long as it's multiplayer W/O bots, I think I'd really enjoy it.

I love support classes - always a medic. And the way they distribute points here seems like a great way to incentivize  team play. Love the idea of not worrying about K/D ratio and getting the same amount of points for a resupply/heal as a kill.

Tempted, but, with The Witcher 2 and LA Noire out next week (the latter I need to import as the Japanese release isn't for another 2 months) I don't have much spare change at the moment.
