My Most Anticipated MMO of The Year Is Still Alive

    BEHOLD!
    BEHOLD!

The MMO business hasn't seen to many successful contenders lately. Conan and Warhammer: Age of Reckoning have been struggling a bit as WoW continues to cannibalize the market. Me? I've been hanging around City of Heroes/Villains for a while now. That's why I'm terribly excited for Champions: Online, Cryptic Studios' newest super-hero themed MMO. It's based off the long-standing Champions paper/pencil RPG license. For those not in the know, Champions is to super heros as Dungeons and Dragons is to fantassy.

The new video doesn't show much, and the quality isn't that great, but for those looking for a nice taste, it's something to help whet your appetite.

Can I just point out, as a hardcore nerd here, that the sound effects in this video are exactly the same ones used in Cryptic's former MMO, City of Heroes? (by former I mean NCSoft now owns it all.)

Just thought I'd share. Anybody else looking forward to this MMO, or does some other currently have your soul by the balls?

    -Make it a good one.

Crap I forgot about this!  *adds to wishlist*  I am super excited to see how this game turns out.  The main reason I'm interested is because it's also going to be on the Xbox 360.

edit:  Where's the video?  I can't find it in your post.

Ok well speaking of videos, CrypticStudios official youtube channel just uploaded a new video, and I got to say it looks a lot better than the old videos I've seen.

*Facepalms* That's the video I wanted to link to. I can't believe I forgot to link it. Epic fail on my part, thanks Doubleshock.

hahaha, well the only reason I looked for a new video was because I saw your topic so it all worked out.

I'm pretty interested in this game, but only as a possible console purchase. And probably not even that, especially if there is a monthly fee.
