Ive been looking forward to Champions for ages as it looked like the only MMO comeing out for a while that looked like it would be any good. As time goes on it looks better and better yet the closer i get to the release date, the less i feel like ill buy it. This is for one reason: The Superhero setting. I just cant see how a MMO with superheros works. You cant be very super for a start, if theres thousands of others like you running around. Also, the loot thing. Superheros dont loot. Does anyone know what i mean? And can anyone tell me if the superhero mmo thing really does work?

Yes, 100%. Its by the original developers of City of Heroes, which was an amazing MMO (in my book), and it just goes further with customisation of costumes and powers, all the aspects that were creat about CoH. So yes, yes it will work, especially given the developers pedigree.

There is no loot system, it was discussed before, I believe it was said that the bodies would have notes on them and maps that would lead to treasure chests or whatever inside that certain dungeon, so you won't loot bodies, they will just lead you to loot.

As you level up, you unlock more customization to your character.

Actually, there is loot in the game. It only affects stats though and doesn't alter appearance.

Sounds just like the DDO system. You get loot throughout dungeons in random chests, most of the time one at the end, and often a reward of the quest giver where you select an item.

@piratepwnsninja: Oh by that I assume you mean items, that you'd just gain, don't know why.

@piratepwnsninja: No I mean looting bodies, not loot as in items.

@TheMustacheHero: Ah, then yes. You don't 'loot' bodies, the loot is said to just pop off of them and you have to pick it up.
