Patrick and Brad mentioned a horrible gif floating around of some "maw" or mouth that has something to do with either dark souls or demons souls. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what they were talking about?
Dark Souls
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Sep 22, 2011
A quasi-sequel to From Software's action-RPG Demon's Souls, set in a new universe while retaining most of the basic gameplay and the high level of challenge. It features a less-linear world, a new checkpoint system in the form of bonfires, and the unique Humanity system.
Dark Souls "Maw" Gif?

Easiest boss that I've fought so far, unfortunately. Beat it first try.
Yeah, just intimidating.
@nohthink said:
@CrazyBagMan: Disagree. Easiest boss was Midnight Butterfly
ya...and the gargoyles...
I'll say this about Dark Souls. Even tho I think it is harder overall; the bosses are easier from what I've played. Haven't had trouble with one yet. I've killed 4 I think. The type where you go thru the white mist door crap and aren't aloud to run away.

Man, that Dragon has a crazy design. However, it isn't the creepiest monster in the game.

It's getting into The Thing territory here.

@handlas: I actually hated the gargoyles. Gave me so much troubles lol
I dunno thought he was easy. He is pretty much an easier version of a boss in Demon's Souls. Kill the first Gargoyle as fast as possible and then, on the 2nd gargoyle, just sidestep his fire attack and hit him every time. Took me 2 tries. First time I didn't expect the 2nd one to jump down so I got taken out by both of them.
I just beat that big multi-headed thing in the lake that shoots water at you. I expected that to be tough and he was easy as well. I don't think he is really considered a boss tho.
@handlas: lol See, I didn't play Demon's Souls. I played it for like 5 hours? and i said "FUCK! THIS!" and just gave up. Could not handle it. So I don't really have a previous experience of "soul" lol I'm doing a lot better now though. Even enjoying it. Never thought I would enjoy this game...

Yea, i got owned by the Bell dragons/gargoyles for so long. 3 and a half hours long...
The gaping dragon is a joke (Seriously easy) The fight is still fun though, great music, great monster design, and just the right amount of epic.
Also that cat with the goddamned Alligator mouth is fucking creepy, I think there is a boss with a similar looking mouth.

Same here. I was getting so frustrated. Then I read online that you can summon an NPC even offline to help as a human. Leave it to Dark Souls not to convey that WHATSOEVER.
After that I beat them in one try. Sheesh..
I loved this bossfight so much, even though it was not that hard.
I also spent a good chunk of time helping other people beat it as a phantom, really gives a monster hunter vibe when there's three people running around in that giant cave, trying to divert the attention of that thing, and trying to cut off it's tail. And the best thing, after killing it, is seeing the host bow in gratitude just seconds before you vanish back to your own world again.
I am so glad I didn't get spoiled on this. The cutscene revealing it is too perfect.
"Huh, looks like there's crocodiles in this room."
"...Okay, gotcha, crocodile head, neck leads to a bigger boss monster. Of course."
"...Okay, it's a dragon-looking thing. Alright, don't panic, I'm a few hundred feet underground with no way out but I can do this."
"...OH FUCK ME THAT IS A BIG-ASS MOUTH ON ITS UNDERBELLY"
My deepest and darkest fears become ever so apparent with every minute, every hour that I play this game. Insanity looms in the distance, like a fog before morning. Dark Souls, I fear, will lead to my death. Until that day, however, I will not stop.

"Ok, i think this is a boss its a bigger now.."
"Is that? What? Teeth on its belly? uhhhh"
"Oh great its huge, got teeth on its belly AND six legs. This is gonna go great."
*Dies 1 hit.*
"Well fuck him."
*gets cursed*
"Well fuck those things too."
@MrCandleguy: Oh God, don't get me started on the curse frogs.
I was straight pimpin' through the game, killing stuff left and right, 12,000 unspent souls and two Humanity, life was great. I'm walking through the tunnels in The Depths, killing rats and slimes like they're nothing.
Then, I fall through that trapdoor. "Oh shit, it's one of those curse-frog things I've been hearing about! DODGE!" I dodge out of the way, but oops, there were two more behind me. I die right as I kill the one in front of me with one hit of my halberd.
I come back from the dead, thinking "okay, I can do this; I can make it back down there, recover my bloodstain, pop back out, buy the item to remove the curse, and return to my former glory, no problem."
Then I fall through the OTHER trapdoor that leads to the same frogpit. Again, I kill one or two of them, but the other one still kills me.
Now, I have ONE QUARTER OF A HEALTH BAR, and I need to recover 4,000 souls without dying.
The next half-hour was pretty intense.
Though i'm the man cause I fought the gaping dragon while cursed like a fucking boss.

@takua108: Wait, I got double cursed and I didn't get down to a quarter health. =/ Though i'm the man cause I fought the gaping dragon while cursed like a fucking boss.
I posted this story on /r/darksouls and someone else earlier said they didn't get quarter-healthed, either. But looking at one of the wikis, I'm definitely not the only one to experience double- or more cursing halving your health over and over again. Maybe it has to do with defenses or something?
Jeez feel sorry for you, getting cursed is the worse..but twice.. that's just fucking with you now.

wait. You can summon an AI to help you?
Really the thing is to just kill the first gargoyle as fast as possible so you dont get gang raped. I had a tougher time with the buttlefly boss and that boss was easy too. Only reason was because I would take damage from his attacks whether I blocked or not and I couldn't get out of the way from his fast spear-like projectiles.
@handlas: I think you can summon AI for multiple bosses, I have only done it with the gargoyles and the Gaping Dragon (you can summon two AIs for that fight!) so far so I can't speak for the rest.
But taking one out quickly became strategy too. It's too easy to get stunlocked by a fire breath attack so killing one quickly is essential.
WIth the butterfly I could dodge the slow projectile easily but I found it best to equip a high magic defense shield to minimize the damage from the spear ones.
Easiest Boss Fight (by ~lvl 49)
Easiest bossfight? Really? O_o I died more to this than Capra, and all the earlier bosses took 2 tries at most. This was more like 7. Did it at level 29 if that matters.
@MrCandleguy: What do curses do? I went through the frogs a couple of times and haven't got affected yet, just want to know in case I go back down.

Caps your health at 50%.
The enemy design and how they animate in this game makes me wish there were cool gifs of all the monsters. I almost want to play this game just to see all these crazy bosses.

Not just caps, it stacks, you can go down to something like an eighth of your original max health.

If you take one out quickly it's very easy I bet, but I couldn't pull it off and two of them was big trouble, especially if you are without a summon. The last attempt they both only needed one more hit, which wasn't really strategically sound but it sure was epic when I did it.
I got cursed twice and it didn't stack for me, but i've heard it has for others.@Geo7877 said:
