I dunno... i have a confession... I stopped watching Vinny play :(. I find watching Jeff fumble about so much more entertaining. Vinny is far too competent at Dark Souls :)

I take it back a bit tho. He was juking and jiving all about that Butcher mini-boss guy. He is utilizing the dodge quite a bit now. I suppose he just has a different play style than I had when I played. He is armored up and has a big heavy sword. He is mostly about brute force.

@handlas Remember this is Jeff's first time through the game. The skills it seems you want to see haven't been developed yet because Jeff hasn't needed them. When he does hit a wall, that's when he'll have to develop a new strategy, just like we all did when we played the game for the first time.

Jeff's play style is working out fine for him right now. It doesn't mean this will be his play style forever. Watch his earlier episodes, and his improvement is obvious. As long as he loves the game enough to continue playing, he'll make it through.

Wow. I never made it through the first episode it was so painful just watching him stumble around in the Undead Asylum for more time than some people can finish the game in. I can't believe he got this far. I might have to try and watch it again.

The game is extraordinarily boring to watch, and as much as I like Jeff Green, he annoys the shit out of me in these videos.

In the latest episode, Jeff reaches a new low. Literally, because he goes to the Depths. Ha.

@tsutohiro: Yeah, I'm halfway through part 16 and it is indeed a difficult watch. He seems to have regressed to approximately Part 3 Jeff Green.

Ya part 16 was hilarious because it was so bad. My favorite part being when he fell off the cliff and landed below. And he celebrates that he is still alive and then about 2 seconds later he falls off and dies. So great.

He had some stream problems to begin with... probably threw off his game.

I love Jeff Green, but the only way I can watch most of these is to have it on in the background and switch to watching it once some actual progress has been made or he's fighting a boss. Still been a great, hilarious journey so far.

I'm glad Jeff still enjoys these sessions, even when he's getting abused by the game and the chat alike. Some of the comments he reads, especially at the start of this episode, just make me cringe. People are the worst.

@xceagle I agree. I have a dual monitor setup at work, and I watch these videos on my second screen while getting work done on the other. I don't think I'd be able to make it through these episodes if they were my primary focus, but that doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed the content. As tedious as it can be, I recognize that I wasn't much better on my first time through the game, either.

Well, Jeff did Part 17... or tried to, at least. There was severe framerate issues and his laptop sounded like it was dying. He might wait until he gets his new gaming PC in a week or two to continue streaming this.

Beat Gaping Dragon first try. Defeated his first Black Knight. Immediately retreated from the Valley of Drakes when he saw it was named the Valley of Drakes.

Jeff's really gotten better at playing the game lately, he still panics or makes bad choices sometimes, but he follows through on attacks, uses both of them and blocks well.

I can't wait to see him flip out over what's going on in Sen's Fortress.

I think Jeff is actually getting pretty good at the game now. Look back at how he played when he first started and I don't think anyone would've expected him to be able to defeat Quelaag on his own. Yet he did.

I love this! Fills in the gap nicely while waiting for Vinny to play more, plus Jeff's at an earlier point in the game that's still before Vinny was when they started Loading his last Souls

For anyone not keeping up with these real progress was made the other day. I was in the chat during that episode and it exploded several times for rage and for elation. Really entertaining stuff.

It's been a week since I last updated this thread, but parts 28 and 29 are now up. Jeff has since played a few times more, but those 'episodes' aren't on YouTube yet.

I think he's still ahead of Patrick, but probably not for long.

Patrick is technically ahead of Jeff Green since he's seen O & S and he's completed the painted world. He also beat the Stray Demon. Jeff didn't kill the Stray Demon, but he finished the Catacombs and he's back in Anor Londo.

Both of them are doing marathon streams today (Saturday) so it's completely possible that they'll both be fighting O & S for their whole stream.

So glad Jeff appreciates what a masterpiece this game is. His comments near the end of the last stream made it seem like it may become one of his favorite games ever once its all said and done.

This has got me really excited again for livestreaming.

Just out of interest, what do you guys think are the best games/game genres to watch on a livestream? Even If the streamer is completely incoherent, or doesn't talk, boring etc etc, what games are surefire entertainment for you guys?

What episode does Jeff finally get his new PC? Because I know he is just not seeing things playing on windowed view on a laptop. I'm on episode 25 and I really hopes its soon. He just walks right past every door and stairwell and even dudes.

I'm going to check some of this out sometime, mostly because I( want some exposure to Jeff Green. I know he has significant history, and is quite a personality. Posted 2 months plus ago, what JJWeatherman says about everyone playing/streaming DS is rather true, though I enjoyed both Vinny and Pat's. So it isn't for DS content primarily, especially after my own play through . In fact I quit watching Pat fight Gwyn, and went to defeat him after 2 tries. I deserved the comment of over-leveled, lol.

I need to build a shrine to him, and turn to him every time I think about playing dark souls.
