Can someone find out who is/are the UI designers to DIRT's amazing menus?
DiRT 3
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released May 24, 2011
Dirt 3 is the latest installment in Codemasters' long-running Colin McRae Rally franchise. The game returns to the series' rally roots with dynamic weather, a career focusing on team-based racing, as well as introducing the freestyle event: Gymkhana.
Who is the UI designer of DIRT games?
Yeah, I have to say those menus I saw in the Quick Look were damn slick. I'd go as far as saying they're sexier than Forza or Gran Turismo.
I haven't seen Dirt 3's yet (I'll check out the quick look soon) but I hope they are closer to the original Dirt. I really didn't like the menus in Dirt 2. I know a lot of people did, but I certainly wasn't one of them.A lot closer to the originals.
And yeah, this team and whoever did the UI for Dead Space (I forget his name but he's been on in GB stuff before) are really showing up the rest of the industry.
Liking what I've seen so far of LA Noire's main menu also. I'm getting a similar feel from that (at least in the video's I've seen).

GT's menus look kiiiind of sexy, they're just an amazing mess in terms of functionality. Or lack there of.
Just had a quick squizz at the Dirt3 QL, those menus are pretty cool, I like the way the triangles fold out etc, seems intuitive and fast too. I think the Dirt 1 menus are still my favourite though. But maybe I'm just remembering those with rose tinted glasses because I didn't like the X-Games Mountain Dew Bro Fest '09 feel and slow navigation of Dirt 2's menus. Either way, I wish more UI designers would put as much apparent love and care in to their work.

And I agree the Codemasters racing game menus are some of the sexiest in the entire industry, I am going to take a look at the credits when I get home might figure something out.

I was mostly just comparing it to the other lead racers of this style.Yeah, I have to say those menus I saw in the Quick Look were damn slick. At least that's what the credits said
Yeah some UI out there is shit compared to the stuff these guys made. They nailed it on both esthetics and functionality. Up there with Forza for sure.
