GamplayDivergent Shift plays as a standard platformer however the game plays on two screens that are reflections of each other so if ever the character hits a wall on one of the screens he will also be blocked on the other. The element that sets Divergent Shift appart from standard platformers is that the reflection of the lower screen is not always identical with the top screen, various platforms and walls might not exist on one screen while they exist on the other so standing on an empty space on one screen is possible when on the other screen there is a platform to stand on forcing the player to shift focus between the two screens in order to figure out how to pass an obstacle adding a new layer of gameplay to the game.
