Anyone playing this on an old/entry level PC?

I have an entry level graphics card (Nvidia8400) which works fine with Valve games and technically meets the specs for some newer games.  Whenever I've played newer games (with the exception of stylised graphics that are designed to look good on cheaper systems), I've been able to play them but only if I lower the settings so they look ugly.

From all the video I've seen of Dragon Age, it looks pretty ugly anyway.  Is that because it's designed to play on anyone's PC or because it just naturally looks clunky and old?
