    Dreamcast

    Platform »

The Dreamcast is the fifth and final console developed by Sega and the first of the sixth-generation of consoles to release. As the first 128-bit system, it was the first to offer truly arcade-quality 3D graphics. It is famous for being the first console to include worldwide online capability, its game library, and its unexpectedly short life span.

Why do these 2 Dreamcast Games always get overlooked?

I don't think Power Stone gets overlooked. I liked the first more, though.

I don't know if they're specially overlooked... I think they're as overlooked as almost every other Dreamcast classic such as Jet Set/Grind Radio or Chu Chu Rocket. The Dreamcast was never popular like the PSOne or PS2, so these exclusive games kind of got lost. Sega Saturn suffered the same with titles like Panzer Dragoon and Radiant Silvergun, for example...

Why is your avatar is the N64 logo when all you talk about is the Dreamcast?

I don't understand why the first game seems to get more props than Power Stone.

I don't think Third Strike is being neglected, though; maybe just because it's seen more of an arcade title than a console title? And considering it came out on PS2 and XB, it's hardly even a console exclusive.

Though to be honest, I liked Double Impact much more on the DC; for some reason, Third Strike looked like ass on my TV, but DI looked clean. It was quite distracting.

    • Power Stone 2 is not overlooked at all.  It was even re-released as part of Power Stone Collection on PSP!
    • Street Fighter 3rd Strike was a successful arcade machine.

all Dreamcast exclusives are overlooked, no matter how great they were...

Few people that I talk to remember stuff like Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Power Stone, Chu Chu Rocket, or Toy Commander, and they're not your casual gamer.

The only Dreamcast game I think most of my friends have heard of is Shenmue, but I still don't think many of them have played it.

It's a shame the Dreamcast only lasted for as long as it did...
and it's also a shame there isn't a sequel to Skies of Arcadia... they gotta quit all that Valkyria Chronicles shit (well, the first one was pretty good) and make Skies 2!
