For reference this is the New Zealand steam store and something like Portal 2 sells for $50. So, should I jump on the gaming bargain of the decade?
Duke Nukem Forever
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Jun 14, 2011
After approximately fourteen years of development, the heavily infamous sequel to Duke Nukem 3D was finally released, in which the macho Duke must damper yet another alien invasion.
Should I jump on this deal?

I think this is flaggable right?
Why? I am opening up discussion about the disparity of game prices around the world and especially on steam where it is even more readily apparent. Posting this in the first post kind of ruins the joke and I think that most users are smart enough to understand that.

This deal is 14 years in the making!
I couldn't register that price especially when Portal 2 is $50 on steam in the US too.@SethPhotopoulos said:

That's the point I was making. That an actual quality game is $30 cheaper and also the same price on out store as the US store. It just shows how fucking crazy the DNF price is.
Try this site for good game in NZ. They take about 1-2 weeks to ship but they are reliable and the deals are better then US prices at release

BTW Nz dollar:US = 08:1

In this case the exchange rate doesn't matter because the price is in USD and the thing I'm buying doesn't even physically exist. Why do some publishers on Steam keep their games the same price as in the US and others don't?
Are you sure there isn't a disc for PC with steam integration?@Starfishhunter9 said:

What? I'm talking about the Steam version. As in the version for sale on Steam.
So is your point is DNF is shitty value on steam?@SethPhotopoulos said:

Well, I paid more than that for Duke Nukem- though I got the Balls of Steel edition. I wish I was feeling ripped off and full of regret- but I totally don't. I'm kinda glad I've got this bust of duke on my shelf- even though I haven't actually gotten around to playing the game yet.

It would be of very poor value at $50 let alone $80.
