Its a Duke Nukem game that's all

The game been in development for 14 years and 4 developer companies worked on, the game that could have full-blown documentary be made for, Duke Nukem Forever has finally come out. Some people had big expectations for this game, I don't. I expected Duke and that's what I got. The game play feels like Duke nukem 3D, go around killing aliens, picking up their weapons along the way and a boss here and there. The game also adds a few different levels like a few driving levels and a few levels where you shrink down to a size of an action figure. This helps the game play from becoming stale and boring, one of the two driving levels doesn't help when your monster truck your driving runs out of gas three times and you have to search for gas. This wouldn't happen three-time if duke took more than one gas can when you find the gas cans, yes there is more than one gas can two of the three times you have to look for it. That all that's new with game play, all the weapons in the game look and feel the same as they did inDuke nukem 3D. Most of the enemies look the same as well, some aliens now wear armor now and that's all that's new.
Before I start talking about graphs and other things I will like to mention that I played the Xbox 360 version, I want to mention this because of the very long load times. Load times for the 360 and I'm guessing PS3 can run to fifty-five seconds to one minute twenty seconds and this doesn't happen just for each new level, no it happens every time you die and if your playing on normal or higher your going to die quite a few time. Now with the PC version load time can be from ten to twenty seconds. The PC version looks better than the console versions. In the 360 version at times textures would load slow or pop out of no where, outlines would stand out with a white line around them. The game looks last gen game bumped up to HD. This game sounds great with Jon St. John voicing Duke once again. Duke making pop culture one liners, some times repeating one to many times, makes this feel more like a Duke Nukem game.
The games multiplayer brings nothing new with the normal death match, team death match, capture the Flag and territory game. There is a leveling up system that unlocks items for your Duke pad that is just Dukes place in the 2nd level of the single player or unlock different gear for your multiplayer person which no one will see due to the fast pace game play. Maps are just levels from single player. Out of the two games I played (found it that boring) I did get in to games somewhat quick and didn't get and lag.
Over all Duke Nukem Forever is not a groundbreaking game of any kind, just a Duke Nukem game for Duke Nukem fans. If you're a die-hard Duke Nukem fan and have a PC that can run it get the PC version, only get the console version as a rental if you need some closer to this game or wait to see if Gearbox patches the game and fixes the load times.

I'm sure there's a joke about size not mattering I'm missing here. Duke Nukem Forever is finally out. That is a statement that most gamers thought they would never hear. After being stuck in development limbo for 14 years, becoming a running joke in the gaming world, and even being cancelled at one point, the long awaited sequel to Duke Nukem 3D is available on store shelves thanks to Gearbox Software picking up the reins from former developer 3D Relams. Unfortunately, the tale of the game’s bi...

      Well, it's a game. 0

Duke Nukem Forever excels at one specific thing: Making the act of alien genocide fun as hell. All of the weapons have a great feel to them, and even the starting pistol packs a punch. Unfortunately, Duke Nukem Forever really wants you to do things other than shoot aliens, and that's it's biggest downfall.  12 years after the events of Duke Nukem 3D, Duke is now a mega-celebrity. Girls want him, guys want to be him. About 5 minutes after pressing start, aliens invade earth, steal our chicks, and...
