I mean, no one watches these trailers. Why do they have to crap up the front page every year, and even now days before the event even starts?
E3 2018

The twenty-fourth Electronic Entertainment Expo was held June 12-14, 2018 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
Trailers during E3: Why?
I largely agree. I'm sure some people get value from them, but I would prefer a single news article, stickied to the top of the homepage that contains links to all of the trailers posted. This keeps them for those who want them, but stops them from drowning out the real GB content on the homepage.
For me, E3 is the ONE time in the year i actually do watch these trailers. But yeah, i don't necessarily need each of them to have a seperate thread per se. But i guess having a Death Stranding comment section for one trailer is sort of cool.
I have already watched 3 of them. They're the easiest way to see what's gotten a trailer, and to download the trailer directly (which I do on occasion).
I mean, no one watches these trailers.
What? Says who? You?
I enjoy that the site I visit daily aggregates the trailers in one easy spot. It's a major convenience for me.
@ares42: I do love that line of thinking though: I don't like this thing on this website therefore no one else does. Why do you keep doing something no one likes? There is no way they have numbers that show otherwise because I don't like them.
The tradition is a little at odds with how the website covers new and upcoming releases every other week of the year.
Maybe because it's more of a feature facilitated by the community and not the staff.
@chuck_: *raises hand uh, I just watched the Persona Dancing game trailer on GB...
I love watching trailers from the e3 but I honestly still really dislike what a chaotic clusterfuck it turns the GB frontpage into. Or how shitty it makes looking for actual giant bomb content from previous e3's.
Im with the people who'd prefer a continuesly updating seperate page for it or something like that.
I watch a lot of the trailers, personally, but I agree that there's probably a better way to present them. If theres a new site by the time next E3 is here, I'd hope maybe there's some sort of "Hub" feature in a sidebar that collects all the trailers. Helps to not clog up the main page for people that might not want it.
I like the trailers. Outside of the live streams, there's very little content that goes up on the site during E3. Its also a good way for me to see everything that was announced and I really appreciate that @marino writes something for EVERY upload.
Chuck_ on GB: Why?
I mean, no one reads his posts. Why do they have to crap up the forums, and even now days before the event even starts?
Oh wait, people are reading his posts, just like people are watching the trailers.
They've said in the past that during the year they don't upload trailers because they know people can (or already do) go to other sites to get them. But during E3 they make an exception as a lot of stuff comes out and it's good to get it in one place.
Plus we get stuff like this: https://www.giantbomb.com/profile/marino/blog/data-dump-e3-2016-trailers-edition/113366/
I appreciate that they pop up here, otherwise I probably won't see them.
